I'm secretly hoping for our mother to be a Dread Necromancer, as that would help us with our current weakness to the undead.

*slow clap* Well ATHATH congratulations. You managed to give the MC a mental breakdown before we even finished the first arc.

I think I've located the problem.

From the definition you've given me, I think you want me to stop meta-gaming. I'll stop, because it's bothering you. Thank you for letting me know.

When I asked for a character sheet, I meant a fully fleshed out one (feats, skills, saves, etc.), not just our stats. Sorry for the confusion.

The sheet I linked should have all of that. If for some reason it is not displaying something, I'll try to copy it as a stat block.

Hmm, thanks.  Maybe we could use Ghost Sound to draw (hopefully just) one of them away, incapacitate him with Sleep, finish him off with his weapon, and return to the other mercenaries after Disguise Self?  Then we just need to get ahold of our mother and cast Expeditious Retreat.  I guess it would be pretty risky...

We could, but there's a chance that the guard will scream before he dies (although we could cast Close on his throat...) or that more than one guard investigates. Honestly, we don't need to emulate anyone in particular.

I think I'm just really bad at finding things. May you please just repost the link?

Also, ask mother what spells/spell slots she has left.

Here: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=644087
Let's replace Spell Focus (Enchantment) with Silent Spell, if we can.

I vote we just run, like our mother told us too. They're not going to kill her, but they are going to kill us.

Could we at least just ask her what's going on, and then run?

That's a good idea.
But there's a perfectly valid party-member sitting right there, waiting for us! We're not leaving without either our mother or her corpse!

We are heavily outnumbered, and these mercenaries have already subdued a wizard of greater power.  What reason would there be for us to suspect that our chances against them would be favorable?

Also, why is leaving with our mother's corpse a good outcome?  Shouldn't we be ensuring her safety instead, by not engaging?

And we have Color Spray, a way to get to the center of the camp stealthily, and escape rapidly. Fortune favors the bold.

If we leave with her corpse, we can get her rezzed later.

See, that's metagaming, IMO. If we try this, there's a damn good chance she'll get caught in the crossfire, and it's traumatic to see your mother die right in front of you, even if you can resurrect them (at a unthinkably high cost at this point, mind you).

And what do you think is going to happen if we just leave her there? She's probably going to be tortured or something!

We were protected by her all of these years; the least we can do is return the favor.
