Look up.  Use the stars to determine which direction south is and walk in that direction, stealthily.

((From my understanding, navigating from a full moon is actually more difficult than just finding Polaris (or this world's equivalent) and using that.  If it was a nice crescent moon far above the horizon, it would be a different story.))

We'll only get more lost if we try and move around. Let's just find a good place to sleep for the night and leave in the morning.

Actually, i was implying you look to see where the moon is. If you know the time (roughly) you can get a fairly good approximation of which directions North-East/South-West

You're probably right.  I was just googling it earlier where I found this source, though, which describes determining the direction the moon is rising or setting as "fiendishly complex."

Maybe we should just wait for the day, like Immaterial suggested?

Eh, sure, why not. Those raiders or whatever probably want to be in the dark, spooky woods as much as we do. Anyone have any guesses as to who/what our dad is/was?

+1

Note to self: find either a desert (for sand-shaper) or a jungle (for Rainbow Servant (stop laughing, it's really good for classes like Beguilers and Dread Necromancers)) to expand our spell-list.

Note 2: find someone that can Spell-Stitch us.
