Your prize: you get to become the host of someone or something special. Now, before we begin, I am ATH and... oh yes. "Oh, right. Stats. Hm. You receive 3 points to augment yourself with stats at the start(more might be gained later). Let's explain the options, yes? Okay. First is SPIRIT! Spirit is the ability to get up despite overwhelming odds, to walk despite the fact that your legs are both frozen solid and paralyzed with electricity, to climb a rock wall covered in magma- basically, it lets you ignore damage and shout awesomely. And perhaps, if you're lucky, reflect damage(mostly mental). The next stat I have to explain is Dexterity, the stat that allows you to dodge attacks and aim ranged weapons, yatta yada whateva... simple as that. Matter is the third stat I need to explain to you blokes. Matter is muscle mass, simple as that. It means you can hit thinks harder, block things better, crush things more, not die by a giant hammer crushing your life out... et cetera. Oh and of course, Mind. You know, thinking stuff, resisting mental damage, psionic, designing traps, using complex weapons, identifying items... also helps with magic. And speaking of magic, we have the final stat(that I'm going to tell you about), Connection. This helps you connect with divine beings and control magic. Simple as that."

"Whoops, forgot to mention stat points- you get 3, no more, no less. I think you can imagine how those work, yes? Unless I've got a crop of idiots?"

"Oh, and one more thing: all suggestions are welcome. If you have an idea to make things worse for your fellow combatants and for yourself, go ahead and share it! For my sake!"

((It's not a problem. A suggestion, by the way- there was a previous Roll to Deathmatch game with a nice map generation mechanic- for the first round, the GM designed the arena, but afterwards, the winner of the previous round designed the arena for the current round. End result: one Roman Colosseum, one magical black disk floating in a demonic plane, covered in magic runes, and one clone of Nethack.))

((I think that would work better than simply polling the players for what they want- and it provides another good incentive to win the round.))

((It's worth noting that most games(there have been a few exceptions, run by very skilled game masters) on Bay 12 have a limit on how many players are allowed to play at once. Any players that sign up while the limit is already reached are put into a waitlist.))
((I recommend you accept 6 players for round one, same for two, then 8 for round three, four, then finally 10 on five and above if you think you can handle it(other games often work better with 6 players or so for the entire game, being adventure things or such)))
