Carry on

So, we already know how terrifying it is to run into anything bigger than yourself in Dwarf Fortress. Bronze Colossi, Trolls, Elephants... they can all already hit you hard enough to send you flying, often with horrible results. Now stop and picture this for a moment: what if they could drag you around? Or, perhaps more entertainingly... what if a sufficiently strong dwarf could drag someone else around? It might be kinda cool to be able to grab ahold of an enemy, drag them over to a cliff, and chuck 'em down it... or possibly help in stealthy scenarios, where you could grab an outlying bandit, drag them away from their comrades, and kill them off without raising the alarm.

Or what if you're stronger still, and can pick up and carry an enemy? Granted, tackling a kobold from behind, picking him up, and running off with him might not be terribly practical a lot of the time, but it'd sure be funny. Or better still, suppose this included some sort of instant intimidation against anything that feels fear? (You KNOW you're gonna have a bad time when your opponent can toss you over his shoulder like a bag of wheat without any visible effort.)

Obviously, a lot of dwarves are strong enough to carry people... they can haul corpses around without any trouble, and people don't suddenly weigh less when they're dead. Basically, what I'm asking for would be the potential to drag and/or carry around characters, provided you can get past whatever resistance they'd put up.

I like this idea. It may be difficult to code though.
BTW carrying unconscious or dead people is actually more difficult, because they behave like a sac of potatoes, do not support their weight in any way.

But you have to think about the fact that a hero and a demigod normally (If they live long enough) end up being absurdly strong. I wouldn't doubt a long-term demigod's ability to knock someone unconscious and drag them (or carry) around. I think it should just be a wrestle option.

Wrestle -> grab with hand -> drag

(Also, PTW)

Wrestle -> grab with hand -> drag

The only potential problem I can see with this is that it might therefore be entirely possible to grab a guy by the tongue and drag him around that way. Not that it wouldn't be fun to do (quite the contrary), but I'd kinda have to doubt the realism there. It's more likely you'd rip the dude's tongue out than force him to follow you that way.

If he doesn't want to lose his tongue, he should probably follow.

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

Well, supposing they don't have a choice in the matter? Try dragging an out-cold troll around by the tongue.\

The point I was trying to make is that tensile strength of the organs is gonna make a difference.
