Arioch looks worriedly at the party.

"That is interesting indeed. We may look into it in the future. For now I think it is time went and notified the -Moon clan of what has transpired, unless there is sonething more to be discussed."
((I take the silence to mean Ritiki and Martijn are done?))

((Ding ding ding, that sounds important.))
Looking around, Kylie (?) mentions there doesn't seem to be much in terms of tracks up here. Looking off the cliffsides (14+4) (19+6) (?) Mauricio spots what looks like a familiar ship very far out at sea. However, the sails look damaged, but it is still heading towards the coastline. However, looking at it, it seems that if they don't use their oars and continue, they will crash into the cliff.

Mauricio notices the ship and turns to his comrades. "Are my eyes deceiving me? It appears that another vessel of our fleet has survived to reach these shores!" He points out the ship to James and Kyile, or at least tries his best to. "They appear to be heading straight for the cliffs. Perhaps they don't see it, or everyone onboard is incapacitated? We should go and inform them of the danger at once! It would be a terrible shame if they had survived this perilous journey just to be dashed upon these rocks." Mauricio turns to Kyile and gives her a bow. "It hurts my conscious to ask for such a task of your noble bird, but the situation could be dire. Would it be possible to drop a message onto the boat with his assistance? It is the first idea that has leapt into my mind to avert this possible tragedy. If not, I will surely be able to think of another one."
((You missed the boat again James!))
((Because it seems James isn't going to do much hearing this))

Kylie nods, hastily writes a note and adds some spare parchment she had (its still kept in well condition despite the terrible storms and the voyage) and attaches it to Vethr's ankle before Kylie does some sort of magic and you swear you see the image of a bird taking form in an aura around Vethr that fades almost immediately and then flies off towards where Mauricio spotted the boat.

The bird circles and Mauricio watches the bird land on the front of the boat. You watch the boat move and shake around as Vethr seems to lose balance, but after a minute, it looks as if Vethr pecks at his leg and drops the note and then after a minute, lands again. After a few minutes, Vethr takes flight and comes back, landing with a note in its beak. Its hastily written enough to make people of high grammatical standards cringe. By now, everyone can clearly see the ship, but it is still far out.

((I agree, first get whatever local tribes are going to play nice with us working together, and then we can worry about trade. Not like we have a lot to produce yet.))

James frowns as he puzzles his way through the note, stymied by the atrocious handwriting "Well, that explains why they aren't steering away from the cliffs, but it's good to know that they don't have a death wish. What do you two think, do we have enough time to get a crew to the ship and get it into the water before the tide takes them into the rocks?"

"Perhaps if we ask some of the others to aid us, we could rescue them. I know they're probably sick of the ocean, but given how close they are, we could do it quickly.

The problem I see is how we plan to get them back. They have no sails and no oars. We could give them oars from the second boat, or we could try and maneuver the ship towards safer land with rope. Given they have wounded, it may be a good idea to have us climb aboard and start administering aid. As I have heard from James, I too can cast some divine magic to heal them. However, it may be difficult to move from ship to ship with your armor, James. Even if Vethr helped you cross, you risk sinking into the sea. From what it sounds like, they may need us right away.

We don't have much time. Lets get a ship into the water and figure it out from there. Vethr can help Mauricio down, but James might be too heavy."

Kylie runs towards the cliff's edge and jumps, Vethr grasping her arms and gliding her down, her form with her Roc makes her look like an angel.

Borg's wife finishes cooking and you have a rather decent meal of venison. Ewan idly chats with Borg and Bjern about themselves, and a few stories about Borg's youth.

According to Borg, Bjern has a special power that allows him to manipulate the the ground. When it first manifested ten years ago, he collapsed a cave and breathed in a lot of dust, which gave him a lot of breathing problems. He never fully expelled the dust from his system, which is why he snorts like a sick moose and spits black stuff. Borg also warns you of other dangers that are in the area, such as lizardmen, orcs, kobolds, and of course, wild animals and their giant relatives.

As time goes on, you part ways and head back to the Red-Moon village. By now, the sun is getting closer to sunset.

As you return, you see Varg sparring with a werewolf in hybrid form, both using their bare hands as they try to pin one another. After he pins the wolf by having his teeth barred against his clansmen's throat, he gets up and waves you down.

Ulf also spots you and walks towards you.

"I pray that the meeting went well?"

"It did. The Earth-Shakers have no inherent hostility towards you, but their chief does. Apparently an outlaw from your clan attacked and killed their previous chief and his son who is now chief is in fumes about it, which is why they attack you. The outlaw fought in hybrid form and was of white and grey fur. He had a crescent moon made of scar tissue on his ribcage, which is why they think it was you.

The majority of the clan hears reason and does not think it was you, but somebody who has left your clan to join the Night-Stalkers, but the new chief does not believe it to be so.

Regardless I do bring good news. Despite everything I have arranged a moot in your clan's lands in two days time. There our three clans will discuss the matters at which I hinted at before and make peace between your clans. Their oldest and most respected warrior who was the former chief's brother advised that you find some proof that the outlaw was not affiliated with you when the deed happened.

They share a hate of the Night-Stalkers like you do and have told me about other clans in the area. Overall I think the meeting was a success."

James watches her jump and her Roc catch her with an expression of abject surprise. Glancing at Mauricio, he shakes his head. "I don't know about you, but weight of armor or not, I'm not crazy enough to try that stunt any time soon.

James makes a face at the rope, tied off as it is. "I'm guessing that I'm going to have to come back for that later. Mauricio, if you can get the crew for one of the ships to get moving in the caves, I'll go to the boats and start getting one ready, maybe grab extra oars from one of the other boats... and get this armor off. I can swim, but I'd rather not try in scale armor."

James uses the rope to half slide, half climb back down and starts in the direction of the ships to collect extra oars and start getting one ready to slide back into the water after he gets his armor off and stored securely onboard.

Several people who are listening turn to you with wide staring eyes. Ulf and Varg look very troubled, as does Varg's brother.

"Then I see that Mordare continued to cause trouble long after he left. I assure you, he has been exiled for well over 20 years, but we haven't heard from him other than that he slaughtered and killed as a solitary killer. It would be no surprise with him that he joined the Night-Stalkers.

It would be difficult to prove that he isn't here unless one of them comes here and sees that Mordare is not here. None of us here have the Red-Moon mark on us in the same spot he had it."

Varg shows his on his palm, and Ulf shows his which has other scars overtop of it on his arm.

"It is good to hear that they will listen to making peace with us."

It is roughly three hours before sundown.

You abseil down the rope and see Kylie already getting people to help bring the ship to the ocean. Given how long it takes to get your armor off, you do so while the others start to move the ship back into the water. Mauricio ((I assume)) assists by getting the extra oars gathered and stays behind in case problems occour on land.

Kylie and James hop aboard and a skeleton crew starts manning the ship, heading towards the, now going closer to the cliffs.

You approach the boat. It is time to make a decision: what do you do to save the passengers?

James outlines his plan to the other two as they sail closer to the boat. "After we're alongside, we have have Kylie and Vethr go across first. Once they're on the boat, we can toss a rope over and she can use it to secure the boats together. Once they're moving together, Mauricio and I have a better chance of jumping across and not dying between the hulls. I'd really rather not die that way, at least.

Assuming we all live through this moment of insanity, we have the crew pass oars across to us, rouse anyone who's still capable of using them, and have our ship pull the new one close to shore and use the oars to help avoid smashing into a cliff. If there are enough people to do the rowing, we can look at the wounded and see what we can do.

Now, if this is some screwed up ruse, we kill anyone who comes at us with a weapon until the rest learn to behave themselves.

Any objections?"
