Martijn stalks off the boat, welcoming his escape from the dark mood on board. He still manages to wink at Kylie as he passes her, but really he's interested in finding someplace to vent his frustration.
See you lot later! He calls over his shoulder.
He searches the place for people gambling, and if he finds them tries to get involved in the game. If not, he looks for some people who may be up for a game, and tries to talk them into one.
Kylie gives you a confident wink back with a slight chuckle. You can tell she's in a really good mood after her hunt.

No one's gambling right now, mostly because there isn't enough money to go around. (19+9) You start talking to some people and convince them to play a few rounds with you. The people you are playing with are named Kasper, Cees (one of the woodcutters), Vigdis, Andreas the unhappy hunter and Iudicael (One of the newcommers and a guard, who prefers to be called Cael). Considering everyone is poor, the buy-in is 1gp per round, though some have it broken down to 10 Silver.
One of the men has a set of dice, so you agree to play a few rounds of Liar's Dice ((because I'm having a hard time trying to find other gambling games that might be of this era)). (
CRIT) You play the first round so well that you take everyone out without losing a single die. Andreas gets up and throws his ten silver at you before storming off angrily. Another person sees you playing and joins in his place, telling you his name is Jurgen. He reeks of fish, however, and you assume him to be a fishery worker. (19+9) You win again and you again win without losing a single die. Vigdis gives you a dirty look as you take the second round's pot. (3+9) The third round doesn't go well for you, but you at least managed to help knock two people out before you lost yourself. Vigdis changes her mind on being sour when she wins the pot this time. The last round (9+9) ends with you having a showdown with Cees, but due to the turn order, you had a very good chance of succeeding. You call one 5 and he calls two, and you have no choice but to either call spot on or bluff him. His confidence takes you out though as you call spot on. You were wrong, and Cees takes the final pot of the night.
(
+5 +5 -1 -1) You walked away with 8 more gold than you did before walking in. The others decide its late and call it a night. They did enjoy playing with you though, and Cees, after picking up his dice, says that you should make this a monthly thing once things start to settle. You also notice now that Varg was watching you at some point, and he asks what the coins are.
Ritiki contents himself by chatting with his family and taking stock of what the expedition has available.
They're happy to see you still alive, though they know you must have gotten into a scuffle, as the blood-stained creature and fighter were an obvious indicator. Your wife checks you for wounds and is glad you're unhurt.
Arioch mingles with the people, avoiding Ewan. He makes sure Kylie introduces him and he lets the kids play with Vorlak.
Ewan goes about his usual business of talking to people and seeing how they're doing. He spends a bit of time with the scarred woman, Jens, trying to cheer her up. Sadly, wherever you go, he just seems to either show up or he's nearby you. You suppose that such happens in a cave. Vorlak comes back in after taking a dip into the ocean to clean the blood off of his fur, and you tell him to go play with the kids. They are terrified of him at first, but find him quite silly when he's all wet still. He plays with them, chasing each other around and occasionally they do a case of hide and seek (which is nigh impossible for either side to lose, though you can tell Vorlak makes it seem like they're winning). The timid Arthur is now happy and Connor is ecstatic.
((
James Jehane (I'm gonna do the cross off for every time I type James when I mean to type Jehane...), do you want to do anything? Also, did you decide to keep the headband on here or not? If not, Kylie is probably going to have a small chat with you))
