Thoven mutters something about not being paid to deal with uppity fae and moves to H6 and releases another Fae hoping for something helpful against the frost fae.

As he did the above he yelled back up at whom he could only assume was Despair, trying to imitate one of the bandits voices as best he could.

"Just taking care of some trash that wandered in!"

d10=8

Thoven cracks open a random jar with rainbow light in it, wondering if it's entirely wise to continue opening these without knowing what is inside...

What bursts from the jar, looks a cloud of colorful flower petals grew wings-and made fashionable clothing from leaves and acorns. They immediately begin swarming around him, chattering away, and Thoven immediately begins to feel...drowsy.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"We're free! Yippee!"
"That jar smelled really bad!"
"Looky looky, it's an huge~man! He freed us! Thanks you, huge~man!"
"Waaait, Huge~man looks like the men who unfreed us! Is he a not good bad but good man?"
"He's just a man! He's not that huge! Also, it's cold in here..."
"They woke up the mean Queen. That was dumb! Should have left her alone."
"He's in trouble!"
"We could help him!"
"Let's take him with us back to the trees, so he won't get frozen! I've never had a man as a pet!"
"We'll make him into a petal pet! Forever and ever!"
"What's the words again?"
"Evo-domo-camma..."
"Linky-dinky-doo..."
"Winga dinga binga, Make him go to sleep, and make him tiny too..."
"Second verse!"
"Blanka-Guile-Chun-li too..."
"Ryu-Ken-Blanka-Vega..."
"Zangief, Cammy, Bison, Dhal, make him like, really cute and really small...

...

Thoven feels an not entirely pleasant magical tingling in his bones, and the tiny, soothing voices are making him very tired. He yawns...

He vaguely feels he should do something.

Thoven tries to smirk despite his drowsiness.

"Hey, I've still got stuff to do 'round here. How 'bout I give you something else for a pet?"

Thoven does the one thing that has never failed him when he need a distraction: manifest his dire wolf companion spirit.

Dire Wolf spirit action: Should the fae take an interest in the dire wolf it runs to J9. If the fae are still focused on Thoven the Dire Wolf snaps at them.

Assuming she still has the move for it, Cirila moves to F12

"Idiots!"

Ayre continues to D4 if not already there, and casts minor illusion - creating the sound of a roaring fire behind the snow fae, hoping to distract it. Meanwhile, he uses his Arcana knowledge to look for any benevolent fae.

Ayre checks the nearest Fey Jar (E5)

1d10=5
(Ayre Arcana Check) 1d20=15+4=19

The Jar contains only one fey, a cross between grasshopper and a Elf-Aye notes it is a Grig, because it is carrying a tiny fiddle in it's hands, one seemingly made out of matchsticks. Along with a dagger and a mini-bow.

It speaks from inside the jar at Ayre's glance.

"Lit me it ay haur! An' i'll play ye a roosin' sang!" Ayre assumes he is being offered music in return for freedom...

Ayre knows by his studies Grigs tend to be more fierce than other Fey-they are fearless, and really like a good fight, despite their size...but, they like to play their fiddles more! Those little instruments they have can magically compel others to dance in a ridiculous fashion-it really is that catchy. It can be said Grigs enjoy pranks, jokes and tricks as much as any of their kind. Most of them are neutral in manner, but good at heart.

Things rapidly descend into chaos with the random opening of jars.
The bandits seem unsure whether to laugh at the show, or be angry at the intereference with their merchandise.

Tirion swings at a bandit, the tiny, burning fae on his shoulder sending a burst of heat at the bandit. While non-lethal, it's certainly distracting...
He just manages to land a slap with the side of his sword on the bandit.

Tessle runs towards the angry fae princess, feeling the cold chill her skin, and prods at it with her pike, but the Unseelie haughtily moves out the way.

"YOU NASTY MORTAL! I'll TEACH YOU TO ASSAULT ROYALTY!"

Thoven summons his Dire Wolf spirit, and the petals coo with delight!

Ayre causes the sound of a crackling fire, but the Unseelie, feeling no heat, pays it no heed and finishes her spell!

------

The Petals follow the wolf as it moves away, abandoning their chant, with cries of "Doggy!" The increasing cold doesn't hurt their motivation, either...

The Unseelie floats up and abruptly, ice shards form at the ceiling!
"AHAHAHAHAHA! FREEZE, MORTALS!"

Both Tessle and Cirila are caught in the radius of the sudden ice storm, unable to even dodge!
Ice bludgeons them, winding them and clanging on armour.

"That will teach you beasts!"
And with that, in a burst of snowflakes, she disappears.

----

With a slam, the door up on the balcony bursts open and a rather angry tiefling storms out, flanked by two more goons!

"By the Fallen, stop sodding about! Kill the intruders!"

She roars a chant and gestures, and the door to south-east flies open.

"CHOMPERRRRR! COME AND EAT!"

Something large snorts and begins thudding towards the door!

Meanwhile, the bandits on the ground, motivated by their leader, press the attack!

Bandit B un-crosses his eyes and stabs at Tirion! His eyes aren't uncrossed enough, and his stab goes wild.

Bandit D also charges at Tirion, who sees an opportunity and attacks, but the bandit ducks under the slow swing.[/color]
His own stab bounces off the paladin's armour, making it an entirely pointless exchange.

Bandit C and E lunge for the weakened Cirilia, but only C is close enough to reach. Cirilia takes a swing at C as he approaches, missing completely.
C attempts to shank her, but only succeeds in continuing the prattery.

Hearing the sound of the creature approaching the doorway, Bandit G legs abandons his cover to seek safety in numbers, snapping off a shot at Thoven as he does so. The bolt strikes true, and blood sprays into the air!

The Tiefling woman seems to be more interested in watching the battle. than intervening...for now. She leans against the railing and peers down, red eyes flickering in the gloom. Her tails flicks back and forth with excitement.

"...Save me the pretty one, though! I could use a new toy...pity, I broke the last one so quickly..." She says ominously. You're not quite sure who exactly she is referring to...

Ayre steps forward to E3 (later moves to E4), a strange purplish colour coming into his eyes, and casts Suggestion on Despair:

"Surrender yourself to our custody! Call off your men and beast, and lay down your arms!"

Ayre pauses, nudged by something in the back of his mind, and takes a moment to rethink his attempt...

Quote from: Suggestion Spell errata
The suggestion must be worded in such a manner as to make the course of action sound reasonable. Asking the creature to stab itself, throw itself onto a spear, immolate itself, (throw herself into a dungeon, surrender to the executioners block), or do some other obviously harmful act ends the spell.

...obviously, a career criminal who is likely to be imprisoned for a very long time-or even executed for her crimes-is unlikely to surrender to that fate, when she holds the obvious upper hand-most of her men are still fighting, and she still has something big and mean on the way.

The simpe suggestion spell is not a warhammer-he knows this-it's a fine chisel. Careful, cunning ruses are far more likely to work than brute force attempts. The best lies convince someone of something they want to believe...

Pausing a moment, Ayra rewords:

"Come now, surely such a legendary figure doesn't need all these men and your pet to face us?"

Tessele winces through the pain of her wounds, but grits her teeth, and charges towards her next foe.
Rally! Move to H11 and attack Bandit C!

"Come now, surely such a legendary figure doesn't need all these men and your pet to face us?"

Ayra slips his spell inside the womans mind, walking past her mental defenses like a sneaky thief. He touches her mind for a moment-feeling a hint of her strongest emotions...mostly an eternal font of furious anger, but a great deal of...fear. She's deeply afraid of something...

The Tiefling falls under Ayra's sway!

Ayra notes the moment the spell hits-the victims of the suggestion spell always seems to take on a self reflective tone, speaking to themselves, almost as if they are dreaming. They are easy to influence in this state.

"Quite right-I could probably make do with this pitiful band with half a force this size...or perhaps, I could end this myself? Oh yes, I could...I could...I can't afford to mess this up...it's too late to back off..." The Tiefling says, almost to herself, red tail twitching like an overeager cat-she seems quite pleased by the praise, smirking arrogantly.

Ayra feels she will be under his subtle control for a few more moments at least... (OOC: you can influence her this entire round.)
