Quote
Depending on how you describe your character, you will be given 3 increases to your stats (5 for Heroes) and a number of perks and disadvantages. If you are not satisified with the perks and stats you have been give and think that your description should grant you different ones, please say so in a polite way.
You get given them.

Cyrus is already in the Heroes post.

I'm going let Lady Luck decide about letting the Wild Boar Men thing...

And Lady Luck says no. Sorry.

If you want, you could have your perks being that you are a Were Wild Boar, though.

Gig pegged me for this game! I figured no harm in joining...

One Aztec hero coming right up.

--

Name: Cipactli
Race: Ogre
Age: 117
Civ: Kukulzac
Description and Background: In a Magocratic society, position is determined by affinity with the arcane powers-magical ability allows even those of little worth to ascend from the lowest rungs of society to the highest. Thus, Ogres are usually relegated to front line troops, laborers, and such-any job that requires a good deal of strength but little finesse. A certain breed of this species was called a 'Cuneiform Ogre'...those few of that hulking species with a workable intellect enough that they are allowed to assist in 'delicate' work in laboratories and libraries-as much assistance in dangerous experiments as hazardous guard duty, they make fearsome opponents...traced with magical scratch-runes, ancient symbols of binding, and glyphs of power-these symbols are no the source of their powers, though they do help them contain and direct it. Cuneiform Ogres are designed, primarily, to detect, absorb, and dispel all forms of magic-simply, by eating magical objects (and persons), they can digest a resistance to the arcane, and eventually evoke a 'null field' that makes it more difficult to cast or maintain magic in their sphere of influence. Living anti-magic monoliths who can also still squash a man flat with a giant club, they are useful in all sorts of tasks-exposure to this magic increases their other physical attributes as well, though the mutations can be somewhat unpredictable. Few Mages of note in Kukulzac do not have a bodyguard of these sorts of Ogres around them at all time-they serve much the same way as their less enchanted brothers, proving a thick bulky frontline force that can take anything and dish it out while protecting those in the rear. They are offered a bit more freedom than other Ogres in the day to day-their missions tend to take them in quite a lot of places, and who's going to ask a Runed Ogre where he's going?

Cipactli is one of these. When he was an Ogreling, his tribe rebelled and was utterly destroyed by the Kukulzac-in a rare show of mercy, all young under the age of 30 were spared for the slave markets. Cipactli (as he would eventually name himself) was not much smarter than the average Ogre, or faster, or even stronger-but, he did have a ferocious appetite and a certain resonance with anti-magical energies. His training by the ruling House primarily consisted of eating failed Acolytes, sacrifices, and hunting rare beasts to absorb their energies into himself. Only upon consuming a powerful Dire Crocodile, did he gain his name and reputation as a fearless Hunter and Defender. In another world, he might be called a Hero-but in Kukulzac, he is but a servant of greater powers-he has recently been purchased by Queen Chalchiuhtlicue's court as 'solver of problems'.

Cipactli is, to describe, much like the rest of his race-tough rocky skin hued a mossy green shade, and a stocky, powerful body, with a large protruding gut (all muscle, though) and a pair of cracked Jaws through which many a soul has slipped. Cipactli is covered in runic script as described above-though in truth, he hardly needs them anymore. His most fashionable symbol is the Dire Crocodile skin cloak which he had made from his most famous kill-that he was even allowed to own such a thing bespeaks of his value to his Queen...or, perhaps no one has asked him to take it off.  He is also adorned with various metal bangles on his limbs, gemstone brooches on his neck (quite a few are trophies, looped into one heavy bronze chain), and a queer affection for a angled hat with a feather in the brim-fit for a Court Ogre, anyway. His only true inner desire is to continue to find magic to consume-while serving Kukulzac loyally...at least, openly. Secretly, he questions.

Everything.

Spoiler: Hero (click to show/hide)

I see one problem with this: You're playing a human with a nation that has no humans in it. Might need to change that if you're trying to angle into being the overlord :P

You seemed quite focused on the boar thing. That's why I suggested it.

I'll check everything once I get home.

Well, if Iituem doesn't mind playing a Hero, I think we've got all the civs now, So once I finish with the Heroes and generating some NPC Heroes, we will be ready to start.

I'l probably be making an IC thread for each civ.
