Thinking of either a Warlock or Barbarian.

Are PHB and Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide (the new one) both fine, or would you prefer we stick to just PHB/Basic?

EDIT: Probably not going to go for SCAG regardless.

I'd rather not take the standard equipment; can I take the average gold instead?
I guess?

Wait, so when is the last day for sign-ups? I have this hilarious idea for a rogue but I'm not at a proper computer yet.

I don't know and I don't care. :P

When we get enough players? I don't think we set a last day yet.

Which mean 'Act now, Don't delay'!

Basic mechanical sheet. Charming Half-Elf Warlock.

Fluff to come.

I was thinking of making a wild magic sorcerer, because that sounds 'fun'. But I notice both of their main abilities are basically "Your GM decides how often you get to use this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯". I was wondering what your thoughts on this are, like how often you'd expect me to roll, or how you'd decide that it happens.

I suppose I'd just have you roll for it every time you cast a spell, use a/used by magic item, everytime you use metamagic, everytime you get hit BY a spell, etc. All the time!

I'd also probably be happy to add an additional role of choose different wild magic tables to make it more fun.

Given how rare surges will be, I would change Tides of Chaos to x charges per day. So everytime you get surged you get a charge of Tides of Chaos to use whenever you want. Better fun if having more Chaos 'stacked' it increases wild surge chances and/or intensity.

I think Oath of the Ancients paladins have quarrels with warlocks, maybe?

I don't see any reason why, at least to an unplayable level, given that it's not a fiendish patron. There's nothing in their code that says anything about not making deals with higher powers :P, so once the stereotype was out of the way I imagine they'd play civil, if not nice.
