So while going through the artifacts of a newly generated world, I found a book bound in the scaleplate of a forgotten beast, and decided to look into it, finding it to have the title "The Gnome and the Coming Troubles".

Who's this guy? Why's a book with 'and the Coming Troubles' written in a stiff, but cheery tone?

So, he was a primordial gnome who was chosen as the first king of the Confederation of Desks at the dawn of time, and quickly sought immortality, abdicating his kingship to seek the secrets of life and death in the dark tower of Omenbreakfast. He has promptly spent the rest of time writing silly books about himself. I'm very interested in his literary career outside of The Gnome and the Coming Troubles, though. Also rather sad to realize he's not still the king.
