Russell privately almost considers maybe thinking about shedding a tear over his forever alone status.
Russell does nothing of the sort. Instead, he ponders over how annoying this trip is going to be alone, doubly so without any of the necessary tools. He really should have stored a compass in one of his many pockets after all...
Well, it's not like there weren't other ways of navigation. He looks up at the sky, trying to see where the sun actually is without looking directly at it. God knows that would only end poorly. Is the sun rising, or setting, or what?

Melodia suddenly stops herself and stops fiddling with her yoyo.

She instead starts wielding it in a stance resembling a flail.

Violet, Orchid and Sienna happen across a younger boy that they saw with them on the ship. He has blond hair, and yellow eyes. He wears a paperboy hat atop his head, with a brown trenchcoat that seems a little too large for him. He seems to be cooking some sort of meat over a small fire already. He hasn't noticed them.

Violet walks up to him, faking a quiet cough to get his attention. "How'd you find that so quickly after getting off the ship?"

The sun is past towards the west, as it gets closer to setting.
"Shush, dimwits! I'm trying to listen!"
A very faint sound of moving sand is heard by Reynard.
The boy looks up, quite startled.
"I-I just landed on it! Don't tell me you're here to t-take it..."

[SOLDIER First]

Instantly Reynard moves a hand to the hilt of his sword, listening intently.

Melodia uses her Semblance to amplify it to her hearing and possibly divine its source, keeping her yoyo at the ready.

"No, but I was kind of hoping that there had been more that ran away."

The sound is coming from behind them, back to the Southwest.
The boy begins to noticeably relax.
"Y-You can have some if you're hungry..."

Reynard turns his head slightly but remains still.

Melodia turns to face that direction, then.

Sienna looks upon the meat, her mouth watering in hunger.
"Sure, kid, lay it on me!"

"If there's enough, that would be nice."

Argent slowly tracks after Melodia's gaze, figuring that she probably has more of a fix on the sound.  If he's in her LoS he makes the 'can't hear you' motion thing.
