(slowly but surely, the format is getting better. You might all be able to tell how much stuff you actually have.)
Spoiler: Actions recap (click to show/hide)

Report:

Urist McDwarf's Ambush roll (1d100): 89.
No ambush. The labourers are pretty sure there's a pack of mountain lions or something somewhere out here though.

Urist McDwarf's Dwarves begin work on a new settlement, but quickly find their manpower exceeds their materials.

The Hills of Technology, Swift Hands, Valor's Stand, and River Human Town have each finished a housing project.

Scouts have returned safely to Swift Hands. They found nothing new, save for open plains.
Scouts have returned safely to Valor's Stand. They have nearly finished mapping out the mountain.
Scouts have returned safely to the Human River Town. The Ruined Village has about 30-60 usable housing. The monsters inhabiting it have a CR of around 40. Nestled in the mountains, it'd be a decent place to gather Materials.

Quote from: the AI
Send the Scouting Team back to the ruins, but this time survey the area, facing west.
Sacrifice 14,000 wealth to Armok for 14 Gatherers.

I'm considering sending the Soldiers to the ruined town to claim it, and start filling it with Gatherers to get some flipping Materials going. On the one hand, it'd be a Raid so I'd win easily, on the other hand, it's probably not a good idea to leave hometown undefended, so I'll hold off for now.

Not much I can build with only 300 Materials... On the other hand, I'll be getting more than 300 next turn since I'm summoning gatherers. I'll... build more housing, for now. Gonna need room for more soldiers.

I set all 50 of my Laborers to constructing a Stable in my main town.

I send my Scouting Party to the North west, Three Tiles.

That is all.

I will sacrifice 25000 gold for 25 crafters. Turn 10 workers into crafters.

Take 20 laborers and 20 soldiers, go 2 spaces north-west, and create a settlement.

I will rest with building for now, saving the rest of my materials in case of an emergency.

Send Scouting Team NE to Mountain Pass Tower (that's 5 moves right? Otherwise stop one east of it).  Send 15 soldiers and 25 laborers 1 space north to build road.  Sacrifice 20,000 wealth for 20 gatherers, 7,000 for 7 crafters.  Convert 23 laborers into crafters.  Recommend adventurers explore mountain village if I get a say.

Spoiler: actions summary (click to show/hide)

Report:
The adventurers have successfully finished their mission to raid the Mountain Pass Guard Tower, and have returned to BadJack to rest. The guard tower is now unoccupied, and can be claimed by sending pop to it.
The adventurers have also recruited an orange Fairy Dragon as a sidekick, and have captured a Dragon Egg. The egg is fertilized (not by the Fairy Dragon), but without a dragon to watch over it, the egg is essentially in stasis until a hatchery can be built. It's currently unknown what kind of dragon laid the egg. (currently, no hatchery project is available; you'll need to take over some enemy locations to make that project available)

The colonizers from Swift Hands, upon departure, realize that they were not instructed to bring any food or materials with them, and so brought 2 units of each, and have begun construction.
The construction team from The Hills of Technology realize they cannot carry as much as they were ordered to without pack animals (from a stable), and also that they were instructed to bring no food. Insubordinate clucks that they are, they each took 3 Materials and 1 food, and construction is underway.
The building team from BadJack was also not instructed to carry anything. They brought 2 food and materials each, and have begun construction.

The scouting teams from Valor's Stand, BadJack, mompacked, and the human river town have reached their respective destinations, and are surveying the areas. They'll return home with their information next turn.
The scouting teams from The Jungles of Death and The Hills of Technology are still en route to their destinations.

The humans at the river town have finished a housing project.
