To explain a bit more:

If a knight's shield is 5*5 or something, Argent uses something more like a 2*2.  Whereas 1*1 would be basically an armor plate on his arm.  It's designed to be moved about as the need for defense arises, not to be a massive sheet of metal that just gets in the way.

Again, you don't need stats in freeform. That's why it's called freeform.
Just do what you think would realistically happen and stop worrying about artificial limits like stats.

it's alright, in freeform everyone gets a few bits of basicaly free dodges. As long as it does not happen often.


The only thing that has me peeved is that I actually tried to think about when and how to attack based on what openings were presented to me. That being brushed off with "but the shield is fast!" makes me simply note that in the future, I need not put effort when freeforming with TBF, waste of time and unrewarding.

3 turn limit per encounter. This may change later on, but don't quote me on that.
