I want to steal the Monarchist revision.
I propose our spies be sent to the far corners of the world in the noble quest to acquire the fabled original Necronomicon and to make no small effort to acquire the services of whomsoever was in possession of the work prior to our intervention.

We got a better weapon but not a single new tech... It is exactly what worried me in this revision.

I prefer to do a long shot move and steal Dover-class Brig
It will give us some naval techs to design our own vessel based on 8 pounders and give us a transport vessel that will free us from spending an action on it.

We have a nice set of techs to do a vessel that will focus on close combat and boarding:

Combination of

1) 8 pounders with canister shot
2) Coombe mini-Cannon
3) Whateley Cavalry Pistol MkII

Can be very devastating at close range

I think we should steal the Monarchy's new design. We have our own equivalents of pretty much everything the other powers have already, except for the Monarchy's useless steamboat, and as long as the Monarchy is focusing on us instead of the loyalists we'll have to devote our attention to them to avoid being overrun. Whatever they've designed is almost certainly intended primarily for use against us, so capturing it negates their advantage and puts us even farther ahead of the loyalists on land.

We have no navy and I prefer to get something.

Stealing unknown design is always risky. It may be a bad design that got improved by a revision. And enemy may design something we already have (like some cavalry firearm)

If that's the question, stealing the London Class might be better for us. It's the same boat, but more heavily armed instead of outfitted for ocean voyages, and if we're only using it for coastal defense I'd rather have the firepower.

Problem with London class that it is built for 6 pounders and it will be hard to adapt it to our 8 pounders. If we go with our 6 pounders against their 6 pounders, we are screwed because theirs are much better than default. We can't use London class in any meaningful way
This is why I want to steal the transport. We will need it anyway to complement our own warships Also, I want transports to do amphibipus landings on the eastern side of the island in case if Monarchist will go the "we need no stinky navy"
route

BTW, what are our production and focus options?

For production 8 pounder artillery looks like the best choice. For focus I see 5 possible actions

1) Fortify Western shore in preparation for possible loyalists landing
2) Attack monarchists through the former lands of Fort Combe
3) Attack fort Alton
4) Do amphibious landing in Newton Area (their navy is devastated, we have some... And it is far away from loyalists navy that will likely be busy supporting their own landing. But I'd prefer to do it with proper transport ships few turns later)
5) Attack Monarchists from Bradford Area

2+3 and 4+5 have some synergy

Alright, I like naval support. +1.

On production, I think our only real option is to get as many of the new cannon out on the field as we possibly can. Remember that we won't know if we've successfully stolen the plans for the ship until the actual turn gets put up, so we won't be able to incorporate the new transports into this turn's strategy regardless of the outcome of the espionage roll.

tl;dr: finish off Fort Combe and defend Bradford this turn.

Securing the rest of Fort Combe's territory and taking Fort Alton are both important goals, but we don't want to dedicate troops that would be needed to counter the Monarchy's advances toward Bradford or Montgomery. We're still holding onto captured territory on the western side of the island though, so even if they do mount a successful attack along those lines all we've really lost is some mostly useless occupied territory. Near Bradford, they're right up against our core territories and much too close for comfort. They seem to know that too, and probably don't want to give the Loyalists more coastline to attack. Fort Combe's remnants are in complete disarray though, and they probably know that too. I think we can expect the Monarchy to try to fill the vacuum in what remains of their territory.

So that leaves us with 4 immediately actionable strategic objectives: expand our gains near Port Silver, counterattack at Bradford, mop up Fort Combe, and capture Fort Alton. Mopping up Fort Combe is time sensitive, the GM has said that after some time they'll join up with us or the Monarchy, mostly the Monarchy, so we need to act soon to deny them that territory. Likewise, while the Monarchy and the Altonites are both encroaching on Bradford, only the Monarchy has an actual shot at taking it. If we push them back though, Altonite attacks can only be directed against us, and we're a harder target in their experience. I think further defense is what's needed there until we can spend the focus phase attacking Alton from both sides, or attacking them and the Monarchy on that front.

The loyalists have landing craft, they have coastline, they have few if any threats, and they probably have the false impression that capturing Fort Combe means that we are winning the land war and need to be taken down a peg. An invasion seems almost certain, probably on the north-north-west frontier with a view to spreading west to establish more secure supply lines whilst cutting into our logistics. I would be inclined to fall back to a mostly vertical front withc Fort Combe at a corner and let the monarchists and loyalists fight over the western front. I mean, don't just collapse, but play for numbers instead of territory and always be mindful of retreat for oneself and their neighbours.

On the other hand, none of this matters. Soon the S.P.D.'s agents will have the Necronomicon and hopefully Kashyyk will be forced to deliver unto them Zanzetkuken The Great's soul and then we shall raise a barren spirit from the darkest depths of the oceans to consume the Loyalist island whole rendering it to a growthless wasteland of empty minds and desperate bodies.

Well, okay, the the Necronomicon might be a bit much to hope for, but Zanzetkuken The Great was obviously spying on our thread and stealing ideas, which is clearly against the rules for a foreign nation. What other recourse is there but to strip them of their soul and deliver it to the S.P.D.?

None that I can see, certainly. Perhaps not permanently, but they should at least give their immortal souls over to our service until we've defeated the madmen in Atterton and the British Empire's toadies.

Did the Brits get logistic from their transport ship? If yes, steal that.

As for the production, I think we should go for pistol. Our artillery will be merely expensive, there is little need to make it cheap.

they did not. It does however give them an advantage in landings,  and it works as a trade ship.

I must say, if it were possible to get them up-river on the eastern border we could make a landing behind the monarchist lines and hamper their logistics, morale, and potential to retreat. Combined with a redoubled attack on that front we could likely capture many of their front-line troops and rapidly advance to secure a defensive line along the river. But the loyalists sort of scare me right now...

I vote for stealing the 12lbs howitzer in the shell throwing version from the Monarchist.

More artillery is best artillery.
