Could we apply our knowledge of dealing with pressure from the air rifle in order to help deal with sealing the breech of a breech-loader? It seems like the understanding of one should help with the other, but I don't really know for sure.

Well we need to add interrupting screw to the breach-loader for rifles or metallic caritages for smaller guns which wouldn't be too much, we also have rifling tech which is pretty handy for this.

We could probably make a basic breech loader with packages that you load into the breech that is basically piece of paper with a ball and powder in it.

you mean paper cartiages to go with it. we could try those or try rimfire cartiages.
