Howitzer's fine. The shells need fixing but we can hold on (explosive shells aren't that is there something we need more urgently today? For example, our rifled musket?
Didn't we already do that?
I personally don't want the rifle musket being expensive.
Oh, Okay, I will add that to the list, and seeing the point, am probably going to change my vote
You can't change how expensive something is in the revision face.
Lets just fix the howtiz, since we already got better gun than samsara.
I an pretty sure that if you get a decent revision it can make the gun or whatever you are doing less expensive

No, costs for cannons are hard into the rules.
Quote
1 Ore - Large Infantry weapons (for muskets, greater than ~1 inch (25 mm)) are Expensive.  Artillery greater than 3 lbs is Very Expensive.
Ours is much, much bigger bore than that. No way we could trim it down enough.

Oh, Good point, lets focus on the rifle, but put production phase on cannon

Yeah, But we need a decent rifle we can field semi-reliably, so we want to get the rifle cheaper

It can be fielded semi-reliably. One per squad, or more reasonably, a smallish number of dedicated squads.

Well, It is not a machine gun, so i would say that that is kind of useless when feilded once per sqaud, we want to be able to field it to most soldeirs

Our designs are gonna have problems if we keep trying to move on to lower stuff and not fix them later on.

Speaking of lowest intelligence, that reminds me of the fact that it's probably your first time in prison. Don't worry, I can give you some tips, having spent some time in a few myself. The best way to make friends here is to drop the soap during shower time. Try it, I'm sure you'll love making friends like that!

Well even then, we'd be better off getting more resources than trying to cheapen every design. Next turn, I swear.

Our designs are gonna have problems if we keep trying to move on to lower stuff and not fix them later on.
Example?
Means that we need to make sure our designs work instead of just making them cheap.

The steam boat is pretty much a lost cause

Plus the main reason we cant field much is lack of resources since no one wants to upgrade them.

flazeo I think you fucked up your quoting.
But trying to read through what you're typing, the steam boat is a different case from the howitz. The howitz is just a problem of refining the design through experimentation, the steam boat is inherently flawed.
