it would be nice to have GM confirmation.

That one of the larger factors of ship cost at the current time is the cannons?  The answer to that is yes.

Ore, ships, the same stuff other people agree on.
Also, let's talk what do we steal this turn. Maybe we could get the rifled gun from whoever had it, to have rifling tech on our disposal maybe?

Seems like it'd be only a minor improvement. After all, they made it in a revision.

But then we could apply rifling to cannons or something.

I'd say we go for the Monarchy's revision. I expect the Confederacy to focus on their new air rifle tech, so we have a better chance of nabbing something useful artillery-wise from the Monarchy which lets us try to press our advantage in that regard without having to spend too much design time doing so.

Edit: As well, it'll be a while before rifling outpaces smoothbore cannons, so no point in that yet. I'd rather get steam tech first.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

on the other hand, isn't the confederacy the one which is currently stalled at an NPC fort due to lack of artillery? they might want to make some improvements there this turn. The monarchy will try to regain a field advantage, seeing how they were crushed where the 2 armies met ( they won in the west, but that was basically uncontested). But since the disadvantage was in infantry, they might get a new rifle, rather than a new cannon.
Or they may surprise us and focus on the steamship. That would be dangerous, but I think unlikely.

Heh, if they do we'd have a chance to get steam tech without having to design it ourselves, which actually reinforces my point :P

Who cares if we have steam tech if it sucks, we should go after confederacy design phase.

Production Phase set to the production of the London-class Brig-Sloop.

Ore production set to gain an additional Ore.  Imperial 6-pound artillery and the obsolete 6 pound cannon are now Expensive (from Very Expensive).  Gun boats are now Expensive (from Very Expensive).  1 Wood or 1 more Ore required to bring down cost of London-class or Dover-class vessels.

Begin Espionage Phase
