Menaces with spikes

My miner just fell into a fey mood and came out with a Bituminous Coal hatch cover. Nothing like making doors with flammable materials.. you know, in case of fire. Anyway, here's a snippet from the description.

"This object menaces with spikes of Limestone, turtle bone, turtle shell and Iron."

That's a LOT of menacing spikes. I wouldn't want to open that door and menace with thousands of puncture wounds.

It must look damn cool though   :p

I guess it's not-so-functional art.

Although, the menacing spikes might make unwanted guests think twice about entering... or not.

One of my dwarves made a legendary turtle shell crown which menaces with spikes of  giant cave spider silk.  I don't know how.  I guess my dwarves share my propensity for silly hats.

... They've done it again.  This time it's a Native platinum statue, which the mayor has decorated with bone, shell and gems, and found a way to make it menace with spikes of PIG TAIL.

Maybe the coal hatch cover is actually a bomb. When it catches fire, the high-purity coal explodes and showers spikes everywhere.

This is a dwarven pipe bomb. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It contains an -iron tube-, saltpeter, coke, and menaces with spikes of steel, green glass, and pitchblende. On the item is an image of a dwarf and elves in kitten bone. The dwarf is sneaking. The dwarf is raising the tube. The tube is burning. The elves are withering away. The dwarf is laughing.
