Oh.. They are able to declare The Third Republic? What does it means, actually? Is it only the "cosmetic" declaration or it will have some effects?

From the game manual " ... (the League will) cease trading and wage war on all the Houses." It also lowers victory score by 30 %.

Wow. Well, they do it anyway even without the declaration. I guess it was made specially to force players to end the game quicker.

I believe the consensus was Leagueheim, Terra and Shaduveen. Maybe the Vau Ambassador World too.

I'd prefer we had a clear picture of whether he's able to continue playing or not, and preferably not just due to a sense of obligation.
It's only natural for RL to take over from such frivolous pastimes, but for the same reason the game needs to progress at a brisk pace, so that it may reach some kind of a conclusion before other players start developing similar symptoms.

Got the PM ... Well, I just might give it a try, but I have never played a PBEM before. As such, I won't be well versed in effective multiplayer strategies (although I have read Sun Tzu, among other things, and that and observation of PBEM games suggests you do not necessarily win with the mightiest military, but by annoying your opponents until they make foolish mistakes  :D ... and most of my solo games have been with Li-Halan, albeit with different mods ...)

also, no need to restart, I assume Li-Halan is not at a major advantage or disadvantage as a result of game events.

also, if sk should find the time to come back, that's fine by me, and this does not mean I'm gonna play with less intensity.
