I've given up on GrAk and, to a lesser degree, DsFi. Just bored with standard bashers, I guess. I think I'll try some FeEn, MfTr and maybe some straight casters before I swallow my pride and go for a MiFi or something similar.

I've been trying some octopod, fun but I seem to run out of steam at the mid game. I guess you need to find some major rings for a viable build.

My FeEn is doing amazingly well. I've cleared both the Lair AND the Orcish Mines, which I've done MAYBE once or twice before as this combo. I'm fairly certain that this is better then the current FeEn recordholder's performance, since they died on Mines:4. I found a lucky ring of invisibility, which helps a lot against large groups of orcs. That plus Mass Confusion works wonders against most hordes, which are what usually wreck my enchanters. Now if I can just get my hands on Discord, the REAL fun can begin...

Noice! I've never really tried worshipping Zin that much, even in the Hells. I guess the ability to donate gold wherever is probably a huge usability upgrade from when I last played. My FeEn actually seems like it might win[With three runes, at least. I'm not taking my precious kitty cat into the extended endgame, even with unlimited levelling], since I got Discord from a scroll of acquirement. There are still a bajillion and one things that could go terribly wrong, but I am confident.

Zin usage, from most to least important for my win:

1. Recite while winning for Best Last Words
2. Prevent some hell effects
3. Recite at lesser mummies to hide their hideous forms behind aesthetically pleasing pillars of salt
4. ???
500. Confuse Mnoleg so I can kill him even more easily

I literally used Revitalize once, to see if it would get me rid of some malign status or another, which it didn't. Even stupid Mennas attacked me, and I got a Holy Pan, thankfully I started on the outermost ring, so I was able to skulk off. I think Zin may have been nerfed, because I remember Salting a few random Pan Lords last time I tried him, not to mention utterly wrecking Tomb.

TSO would've been a ton more useful, but then I wouldn't be able to recite at that Ufetubus at the end.

Other things I never did - use any evocable, drink any buff potions past lair, zap any teleport wand.

A great thank you to Aelig for showing me how useful Portal Projectile was - for some reason I thought it just teleported a single shot to the enemy and was like "pffffffff". This was probably one of my most powerful non-blastmages so far. Ranged combat even with an Arbalest, coupled with Haste, Blink and Portal Projectile is really strong. If I had realised earlier how to optimize my build (start crossbows earlier for a better chance at acquirement, not waste any points on evocations, stay TSO) it would've been ever better, but hey. Also I spent an embarrassing few minutes trying to pray at TSO's altar to bless my stupid weapon before realising it's now an Ability. There was an observer, too.

I've reserved a NaWz, because it seems there's only been one Naga win so far, and 0 Wizard ones, which is baffling. Debating whether to go Sif Muna for maximum points, or Vehumet/Ash for actual usefulness.

Yeah, Felid is permanantly dead. Stupid Merfolk Avatars and their absurd magic resistance. Whatever, I guess I'll go back to mages before caving and trying to win with a MiFi. Looks like there's only been one HE win, so I guess I'll try for HEFE.

EDIT: Wow, Aelig has the ONLY full Jiyva win. Slime troll all the way.

Honnestly I think this spell is even better than haste, it's so usefull and cheap...
