Here I am, with the nation state I bring everywhere! Will this work, or is it too silly?

Name: Plokhoy Ostrov
Backstory: Plokhoy Ostrov is a Russian colony founded in the South Atlantic. The populations hobbies include not freezing, not starving, being communist, and somehow going back in time by twenty years. Which helped them not at all.
Traits: Isolated (Its in the middle of a freezing ocean man.)
Gold Mines (Theres gold in thar hills!)
Insane Inventors (These guys seem to come up with crazy stuff, and get impossible things to work. Course, they dont always do what you want them to)
Glorious Communism! (Hey, there gotta be some communist, semi-Russian group in these games. Dunno what this would do though)
Somehow from 1920 (Shortly after Plokhoy Ostrov became independent it was swept back twenty years. This dident help it much, since it was a backwater then, and still is now)

What's a Fantasy without some Fantasy?

Name: Equestria
Backstory: Equestria haven't always been here, nope. In fact, Equestria have only shown up some years ago right in the middle of the fucking ocean, no less. Connecting to the northern bit of the European land. Nevertheless, the Ponies of Equestria shall prevail regardless of what the universe throw at them! .. they hope.

:Traits:
Harmonized: The Equestrians simply get along with each others just fine on a daily basis, and even if there were some bickering and arguments or them breaking into sides, it usually doesn't take much to bring everything back to order again.

Extreme Nationalism: We have best doctors, we have best soccer team, we have best economy, we have best apartments, AND WE MOST CERTAINLY HAVE BEST IMMIGRATION CONTROL!

Divine rights: Many Equestrians believe that their two rulers are Goddesses and treat them as so, it's hard not to think like that when their age are on a four digit number. Who else would they prefer to lead the country? and HOW DARE YOU CALL THEM FAT, HERETIC!?

Actual Magic: Hey, hooves have no, like, opposable thumbs. And little ponies are little. So what's a little bit of levitation? and it's not the Chris Angel ones.

Ageless Rulers: They've been around since a little bit after the founding of the country, and still is. And probably still will for the foreseeable future. Oh they claim they're not immortal, of course. Powerful, ageless and beautiful? Sure, but not immortal. See above.

Nation Name: People's Democratic Government of Arstotzka

Traits:
Patient - Arstotzan soldiers excel at waiting in ambush, and carefully shooting from afar, giving them and advantage in long-range engagements.
Glorious - Arstotzka is the most glorious country in the world! Glory to Arstotzka!
Ore and Oil - Since the end of the war against Moskurg, Arstotzka controls all the resources in Forenia, making it very rich in ore and oil resources.
Arms Race - Being in a state of endless war has given the People's Engineers great skill in developing military technology quickly and with great results. At times, it almost seems as if they have foreknowledge of future military technology...
Only War - After centuries of eternal conflict with Moskurg, Arstotzkans have gotten used to forever being at war, meaning they will not protest against it even if their lives are terrible as a result. They will, however, heavily protest against peace treaties which do not greatly favour Arstotzka.

Description: Arstotzka and Moskurg have been warring over the small continent (they both insist that you call it a continent) of Forenia in the south pacific.
The British Empire established a colony on Forenia, quickly subjugating the natives of both countries who wielded swords, bows and metal armor at the time. It was abandoned in time because, even after being conquered, the plantation workers were continuously at each other's throats with knives, farming tools and stolen rifles.
In fact, Arstotzka and Moskurg have been at war to conquer the entire continent as long as anyone can remember, and as far back as any history book is written. The reasons for this are much debated, but the debates universally end in fisticuffs.
The two nations regained their sovereignty, industrialised, and went back to vying for control of the continent, same as ever. Eventually, Arstotzka emerged victorious due to their ability to make plans more complex than "charge the enemy with our swords!" as was favoured by Moskurgs. Now Arstotzka reigns supreme and is ready to take on the world, starting with those Moskurg-loving Kolechians.

Nation Sheet

Nation Name: Elaed Glew (The quasi-Breton Empire)

Description: Encompassing most of France, Cornwall and Wales, Elaed Glew is ruled by a nephew of the grandmothers aunt, who was the half sister to the brother of the roommate to Napoleon (the third), when the revolution came and the breton kid was placed on the throne.

Traits:

1. Illiterate nobheads - The lower classess of the empire are illiterate, so they can't read any philosophers works or pamphlets against their breton overlord, which makes the Empire quite stable. This unfortunately means that researching is a bit slower.

2. Populous - Either through many vigorous sexual relationships or through low infant mortality rate, the country has a high population, which is still growing at a fast rate.

3. This is mah colonay - Both the the country and the people feel a strong pride about their colonies, which increases the migration of Bretons (or frenchies, for that matter) to their colonies. This also means that people are very enthusiastic about colonising more.

4. We want jobs! - The country was quickly industrialised in the 1890s, and the people moved from farming and herding to making stuff in factories. They are more unhappy if there are no jobs available, but they will happily work in factories, and the upper class likes to build more.

5. Gimmeh mah plays an' music - For some reason there are a lot of artists in Elaed Glew. Nobody knows why. This means that the Empire shakes the most at the art measuring contest, but this means that the number of free thinking people, possible nationalists and dangers to the stability of the realm are uncomfortably high.

Nation Name: Arqubuzlpan
Traits:
1. The Twenty Year Revolution: The nation of Arqubuzlpan has been free of their Nahuatl overlords ever since the end of the Revolution in 1882. Not even two decades since the end of the war, the Arqubuzlpanians are loyal to their new nation and will fight to the bitter end to maintain their indepenendence.
2. Guns and Steel: The land was named after a gun and ever since, the colony-turned-nation has prized their expertise in guncraft and its use.
3. The European Melting Pot: Centuries of interbreeding between European, African and American peoples have resulted in a diverse nation of many cultures and many faiths. Though other nations still cling to state religions and force traditions upon their citizens, the people of Arqubuzlpan are free to practice their ancient ways in peace, or in combine them, as long as it does not harm the nation.
4. Gateway to the Americas: Despite the years of warfare between the Nation and the Motherland, Arqubuzlpan has never truly broken ties with those in the Americas. Many elites and bourgeois still maintain strong personal and familial ties with those across the pond. As such, trade between the various American states, as well as the odd colony, and Arqubuzlpanian ports is common.
5. La Conquista: The people of Arqubuzlpan are more than a bit eager to unify the peninsula. Though many can state plainly that they have American blood, all can state that they are Spaniards and Portuguese, or at least their ancestors were. As such, many in the nation seek to unify with the remaining Iberian states- through peace or war.
Description: A colony of the late Aztec Empire, Arqubuzlpan controls much Portugal, Gallicia, Andalausia and even the Canary Islands. Through sheer luck, ingenuity and adversity, the Arqubuzlpan Republic has won its freedom and its place as an European nation.

Looks fine except for magic.

Aight. How about 1/3 of the population being capable of natural flight as they are Pegasi? or is that already included in the whole package already?

If so, let's go with...

Mein Precious: The Equestrian soil is fertile, and her resources plentiful, having never been brought to a whole nation-scale industrial revolution before.
That's probably about to change.
