"My bet's on them bein' the same ones what killed the elfy here. Archers an' all. If'n y'all kin get a mite closer, I kin prob'ly whip up a bit of a whirlwind, keep ya from bein' skewered. Course, I could fight 'em fer ya, too, if ya like."

Eumance pulls out one of the arrows from the elf's back, roughly, and stares at it for a bit, imagining the wind flowing across it in mid-flight. How easily a shift in the currents could make it veer from it's course...or snap it in half. Eumance liked having a good mental picture before she did a spell. She needed that physical sense of it. She finishes her mental map of how she could make it, then began loping back to catch up with the others.

((Also currently Cain's mana, rather than his HP, went down :P))

((Updated op with more rules and stuff.))

"Please, Cain. Save yourself for something threatening."

Spend two mana to stop Cain's bleeding.
Edit: Follow Crystal afterwards.

[9+1] Wilton begins to wash water over Cain's wound; it feels very good for him as it washes the warm blood away; that was refreshing! Cain moved forward into the hallway, but slipped on the puddle it made and took 4 damage.

"I'll never become a great fighter if I don't hit things, Wallace.  And besides, that damn door was looking at me funny.  Stupid doors think they're so great.  Well who's great now, door?"

Kick the door a bit for good measure.
Then follow Crystal after keeping a piece of the door as a battle trophy.

The door is kicked. It gives Cain the puppydoor eyes.

((Ah, sorry, I'm Wallace. I tried switching to teal because stock blue is hard to read on the Darkling theme. I'll try this instead.))
Down the hall and left.
~Four Brave Mages~

Crystal opened the door and sees 3 zombie swordsmen and a skeletal archer inside!
Both zombies moved forward to attack Wilton and Eumance!
[4] The first zombie swung its sword and missed Wilton.
[7] The second zombie slashed at Eumance and hit her, dealing 6-2 damage!

[8] The skeleton shot an arrow at Wilton and struck his shoulder, dealing 8 damage!

"Hey! You clod-sucking sons-a-bitches-" Eumances takes in a breath sharply, eyebrows furrowing in concentration and annoyance, as she prepares her spell. If she did it right, when she let her breath out, it would gain speed and size, becoming a Blowout to force them back, and if she was lucky, keep the archer from hitting her, too.

((So is careful useless, then? if it can make a success into an outstanding success that counters what they were trying to do? Or what?))

((The pros outweigh the cons, since it increases your chances to succeed at all or even get a critical success. Eventually you'll get items and abilities that increase your roll even more, and they stack with the perk.))

((As dangerous as it sounds  :P))

((Tempting!  But I suppose I must be a little careful.))

"These will make for even nicer trophies than that asshole door!  Come on you bastards, are you ready for real death?"

Punch a (non-AOE) fireball at the skeleton nearest the center of the room, but give them all the bird.  Double bird, if possible.

Cover the floor with water so they slip. Skeletons have a harder time keeping their balance on slippery surfaces, it's a proven fact.

~Mage Magic~

[5] She blew and blew as hard as she could, but it seems the spell unfortunately fizzled.

Further harden Eumance.
[1] Crystal put her foot forward in stance to move the earth into armor for Eumance; however, her foot tragically slips in the wrong direction and ends up ramming hard earth into Eumance's back, dealing 6-2 damage and catapulting her into the room!

Punch a (non-AOE) fireball at the skeleton nearest the center of the room, but give them all the bird.  Double bird, if possible.
[3-1] Cain gestured to cast the fireball, but accidentally flipped them off during his magic gesticulations, and resulted in the fireball exploding all over his clothes and causing him to burn. He takes 3 damage, and will take 1d4 more damage next turn.

Cover the floor with water so they slip. Skeletons have a harder time keeping their balance on slippery surfaces, it's a proven fact.
[2+1] Wilton began to drain water from his canteen; a genius spell! Oh wait, the water is moving behind them...

[6] A zombie swings its sword at Wilton and deals 6 damage!
[7] Another zombie moves over to Crystal and attacks, dealing 4 damage!
[10] The last zombie moves to Eumance and takes a big swing down at her with his sword, dealing 8-2 damage but accidentally dropping his sword!

[7] The skeletal archer fires an arrow over at Eumance, striking her leg and dealing 5-2 damage!

((holy shit, rng hates you guys. im so sorry))

((Damned skeletons.))

"...catapult complete!" Crystal chimes in, cheerfully salvaging the situation.

Use earth magic to help me suplex the zombie in front of me behind me!

"Tarnation, hellfire, and plague!" Eumance shouts, simply letting her frustration and pain fuel her next spell; from the center of the room, around the pillar at first, wind should begin to swirl. Faster. Faster! No, still faster! Yes, more! And out and out....and all those in the room would be forced back away from the center, as the wind would blow and blow, only it's whisperer, whose rage resonated with the fury of the storm, would be able to stand it, picking up the dropped sword as she got up to her feet, grimacing at the pain and using it to give more life to the spell.

Cain takes 3 fire damage.

Use earth magic to help me suplex the zombie in front of me behind me!
[10] Crystal surrounded her hands in hard, rough earth which she used to grab the zombie in front of her and suplexed it, ramming it into the ground behind her to deal a massive 11 damage! The zombie explodes in gore which splashes all over their nice clothes, however. It drops 7 gold.

Fire a flaming fist of fury diagonally down-left.
[4-1] He swung a fiery punch down to the zombie Crystal killed, but suddenly realized that it was gone, and fell forward.

Just headshot the one hitting me with a bullet of water.
[1+1] He formed a bullet with water from his canteen and shot it! And missed it! The bullet flew past it and nearly struck Eumance.

[10-1] (Adept) Eumance formed a cyclone that circled around the center of the room; it blew back the skeleton and the zombies to the other side of the room, dealing 4 damage to each of them! The cyclone still rages on.
Eumance picks up the old iron sword (1d6).

[8-3] The skeleton raises its bow to fire an arrow, but the strong winds simple have it hit the wall besides it.

[7-1] A zombie moves forward slowly against the wind to attack Wilton, swinging its sword and hitting Wilton's side to deal 3 damage.
[3-1] The other zombie attempted to move forward, but the wind overcame it.

"Wind magic has many spells that have strong areas of effects; however, most of its spells tend to be purely for utility." - Milton Manatide
