The Donchaka find approximately 30 stores selling NFL-branded football gear as soon as they step out of the Cheesecake Factory, seemingly ignoring The Volx's comments about a fair wage. Was there any specific merchandise or item they were looking for?

Well, first off, are there any weapons approved for NFL use?  A football would be nice as well.

If you mean NFL-Grade weapons, there aren't any available on the public market since the NFL uses top-tier equipment made in total secrecy, though you could get standard street-level version/knockoff easily, some of the weapons would likely require a license though. (It's similar to how, IRL, you can't get the same cleats as a football player since they're made in some secret military-style lab somewhere, but you can buy similar cleats at your local Sports Authority's or Dick's.)

And there are plenty of places to buy Footballs. Including the NFL Football Emporium(TM) which is advertised at its front to sell thousands of footballs including custom footballs.

"Alright. These devices are Union communicators. The Union made them for easy access to their resources and gave them out to heroes, whether they were Union or not."
"Makes it easier to call in superheroes even if you're an independent. Of course, I signed up to them. Anyway, we'll use these to get you guys if we find anything.

There's also a mobile bulletin board on it, if you want to go around saving the town while you're here. But, more or less, we're done for now."
