Penelope braces herself by crouching, placing her shield in front of her to defend herself from the worst of the blast as Contagion gets ready to throw his vial.
Yamal is running straight towards the gorgon, her sturdy frame being able to knock aside the weak spear warriors attempting to hold her back without even moving to stop them. As she arrives, however, she finds herself being pre-empted by two things.
One, a pissed-off Idou defending his lover as Mint Gale Requiem Stops the gorgon with his powers, the tentacles stuttering to a halt in a mere hair's breadth from Chizuru.
Secondly, Pluton ramming into the gorgon himself, as scales cover his skin. The force of the push topples the monster over, slamming the thing aside into a nearby table.
Yamal should probably be pretty miffed, but they have more important things to worry about with the other monster. At least the mooks are thinning out now.
Asuka uses her whipsword to catch the hawk monster by the neck successfully, wrenching it onto the ground with a pained screech as it grabs at its new bindings! The ogre-like Rider from earlier has also joined in on Asuka's beating, pummeling the hawk monster with his bare fists.
A cold bullet soars through the air, landing squarely on its forehead and.....well shit. It screeches as the bullet goes through the head, but it's still alive! Well. Crap.
Evridiki takes this time, meanwhile, to aim a dart carefully at the fallen Hero with, filled with tricordrazine to begin healing her wounds, aided by one of Haruka's dolls. A mook attempts to stab the medic in the back, but as the medic turns to face it, it vanishes into black mist, fallen to a slash from the mantis-themed Rider who has appeared next to her.
Haruka and Victoria form a good partnership, as Victoria stands above Haruka, using the latter's shield as cover. They rapidly rotate in a circle, cutting a swathe around them as the warriors begin to thin out, their numbers beginning to wane. It's helped by the advancing Finnish winter nearby, as Simuna presumably takes position, reloading.
Wilson's robot also assists in the swathe-cutting, lasers blasting through the warriors despite their spears finding their targets on some occasions and damaging it. This is before Wilson himself is tackled to the ground by one of the mooks, however, screeching at him and preparing to stab him with a spear-
If Contagion's vial hadn't blasted it out of the way, that is. As the hero threw the vial, a particularly fast warrior catches the vial, hurling it back.....only for Penelope to bounce it off of her shield and onto the ground, planting herself to avoid the blast and protect Contagion from it with her body. The blast surges outwards, knocking back some, dissolving others and saving Wilson as his erstwhile assailant fades into the winds.
"Alright! Err....thanks!" The boy waves at the group as he looks at the tickets. "You guys seriously are heroes!"
