Morana just waits, watching Jet intently. She is smiling rather smugly.

Jet pays no attention to Morana.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Aesford are robbing a liquor store.

"...do you think you can keep Morana totally off of our backs?"

[Sanure]

Morana just cackles, "No, no. That's all wrong. You should be worrying about me. The forevermore is just a witness for this." Morana is rapidly closing in on Jet, Her pace steady and at a brisk walk.

Orchid looks to be about to yell something, but a bolt lodges itself into her arm, quieting her, "That won't do. Please be silent." Morana is reloading her weapon.

She shows the spine: "Huxley's Encyclopaedia of Botany".

"Cool.  Probably ancient, who uses 'ae' in encyclopedia anymore, especially the distant future of an alternate timeline where everything's data, but cool.

What're you reading about?"

"I've dealt with bullies before. What makes you different?"
Jet says, not very interested in Morana still.

[Sanure]

"Because I," Morana lets a bolt lose, killing one of the fleeing civilians, "am truly a bad person. Today will be no different. Every single human, Every single one of you, all will die to build a perfect nest for my darling here." the Forevermore screeches again. Morana has already reloaded her weapon again.

Chartre tightens up formation even further with Chryssa and Anna, looking between them and Jet and Morana. Frowning, he reaches over and twists the base of his spraygun in the opposite direction as he twisted it before, and the weapon quickly folds back up into its saber form. He then holds the saber up in a defensive position, staring at Morana and her weapon, attempting to judge the potential courses and speeds of any potential bolts heading at him from Morana, going into a Parry. He bares his teeth at Morana when she shoots one of the fleeing civilians.
"_{Anna, Chryssa, I'm leaving what we do to you, but we ought not separate too far out, at the very least.} I can't say I have any plans on dying to you, myself." He raises his voice rather louder at the end of this, aimed at Morana, hoping to direct her attention towards himself rather than the civilians -- at least he might be able to block incoming bolts.

Anna bites her lip. It hadn't been anyone she knew who just got shot- thank Dust- but Morana had destroyed her home. If she was more suicidal she'd have already been over there trying to smash her face in.

"You're very sure for someone who just got into my range."
Jet is launched forward by the air dust grenade she dropped at her feet. As she speeds by Morana a chain wrap around her weapon and pull with all the force of a several hundred pound woman being propelled at high speed.
