She pauses when she is hugged, suddenly red-faced with embarrassment as the eldritch thing hugs her out of nowhere.
"W-wait, what are you-- huh??"

A bemused 'chuckle' resounds through the... air? Mind? Whatever.

[It is what I do, {Evdriki}. Did you not 'hear'? I Embrace. It is so pleasant, after all.]

Evridiki stammered:
"That's, uh-- I... but you just... I really don't know what to think."

Truth be told, Evridiki would probably be a lot angrier except A. she's too stunned and B. ItE is, in fact, quite good at hugging.

Alice awkwardly stands there as ItE embraces her, not entirely certain whether she should say something about how uncomfortable it makes her feel. ItE would find that Alice is quite different from everyone else on a level beyond what is considered physical reality. Embracing the reporter lady is somewhat like hugging an ash-covered coal. There's an unpleasant sense that ItE could be seriously burned by Alice's metaphysical body if the Primordial was not cautious. Yet even all of the precautions in the world would negate the feeling of being slowly worn down as she embraces Alice.

"Uh... Yes. Yes Eldritch is a technical term. An Eldritch being can interact with the Mundane with no ill effects. Seeing as none of you have reacted negatively to my presence, I can assume that you are all Eldritch. Or most of you," she quickly corrects herself, due to standing in the presence of ItE.

Alice frowns at the note she had just made. "I am afraid that I didn't understand the finer details of your explaination. I would ask for clarification but I do not wish to monopolize your attention. Would you object if I asked you more questions about your universe at a later date?" The real reason for putting an indepth explanation off was Evridiki's reaction towards ItE. Alice didn't want to make things more stressful and confusing for the medic than they already were.

If anything, Evridiki seems to be glad to change the topic away from her own embarrassment. "Oh! Yes, of course. The "later" does assume I don't get kicked off of this ship, though."

"You won't be, I can tell you that much.  Unless you go psycho and start teamkilling.  Otherwise you wouldn't be here in the first place."

Alanis, on a whim, Looks at Alice and Evridiki.

ItE does not like this feeling, and sticks with hugging people who are not Alice for the time being.
