The terminal shows that there are 34 defense cannons online and all of them need ammo. The size of the ammo and type are not listed.

The cannon is surprisingly simple. The only problem that ENG finds, is the lack of a standard firing mechanism. Looks like the cannons are purely electrical.

He would take note of how the ammunition would be fed into the cannon before reassembling it. This might prove to be a challenge if the electrical element was not able to generate a powerful enough arc to ignite the propellant in the shell it uses.

Replicating ammo for the cannons is going to be difficult, but doable. Appears to use oddly shaped rounds with some unknown ignition material, probably due to the size.

After reassembling the cannon, ENG would take Dackly and Gozer inside, grab the Charged Phazon Cannon (HE) from his locker, And pass it to Dackly. (check OOC for the item stats and such.)
"Time to start devising a temporary solid propellant ammunition for the cannons. Thanks for the help you two." ENG would start working on a temporary ammunition form that would work with the cannon in the atmosphere. He could get the proper ammo after they return to the station.

They nod, thank him and go about their own business.  Dackly is fawning over the device, looking at every little detail with wide sparkling eyes.

She awkwardly turns around and puts it back up in her room. Upon returning she is wearing a plain shirt with "pick a god and pray" written on it in bold font.
