The thief is still imprisoned inside Tourmaline's barrier. They seem to have already gotten back to the Taisha Base, with Fukuhara waiting outside, looking quite grim.

ENG would notice this, and approach Fukuhara, expecting bad news.
"Reporting in. What happened while we were away?"

[SOLDIER First]

Eirika is through the portal with everyone?

Alanis presumably makes it into/through the portal as well.  She seems worried all of a sudden.

"It seems our scanners were deceived. We received signals of a massive gap in the Jukai just moments after you left."
And so, the retreat is sounded. The party manages to push back through, with Hikari grabbing Ian and Yuri grabbing anyone else left behind as the corridor of fire rapidly shuts behind them.

The portal dumps them in the Jukai, now safe from Vertex invasion, for the moment. Yuri sighs.
"That was.......close."

Big Daddy stops his mad dash and heads back to his group

"At the same time, massive blow struck for the eventual saving of mankind and all that...

But where's Mio?  She shouldn't not have been here."

[Shadestyle]

"Well, I am the... Really helpful PI, and Gozer is... the... donut shop?"

"It's a metaphor."

"Are there bad guys, or are we still waiting on the verdict?"

[SOLDIER First]

"Strange..."
Eirika's tattoos stop glowing and she shakes her head.
"What was I saying? ...When did we get back in here? What happened!?"

Sandra looks tearful.
"S-sorry..."

Fukuhara is about to speak, but suddenly, a man approaches behind him, whispering something to him. He seems surprised, before nodding and dismissing him. He turns back to ENG and the group.
"It seems the gap was.....shut. I assume your companions had something to do with it.

Thank you, for apprehending the thief. If we could have the Terminal back, we will keep the thief in custody until law enforcement proper arrives to deal with him."
Yuri nods. Hikari looks around.
"Not just Mio! Where's Sora?"
"Indeed, a great blow has been struck against the enemies of humanity.

As of this 'Mio', I am not aware of her whereabouts, neither am I of Sora's. I am not the force that brought you here, though I can send you back.

Regardless, my time here grows short, and soon I must depart elsewhere in the Jukai. Is there anything you require of me before I send you back?

[SOLDIER First]

"She isn't...

...You must help us find her."

Yuri shakes her head, frowning.
"I cannot. I am afraid my power outside the Jukai is very limited. If you are to locate your friend, you must do it on your own."

"Closed? by what?"

"I do not know. I theorise that your companions may have had a part in it, though."
