Aesford closes his eyes and strokes his chin. With an uncharacteristically slow voice he declares: "The game of chess is like a swordfight. You must think, before you move.  The Toad style is immensely strong, and immune to nearly any weapon. When properly used, it's almost invincible..."

Once, she was a princess, locked in a tower on the spot where the shrine stands today. They say that one day, a journeying monk saw her and fell in love with her on the spot and she with her. He promised to free her one day, and she waited, and waited, and waited. The years passed, the seasons changed, and eventually, she withered away, still waiting.

They say she's still waiting for the monk, still waiting to move on with them to the afterlife."

"No.  The idea of the tower is more important than the tower, I think.  That and ghost stories make less sense than actual ghosts."
