Motya pats Alanis on the head. "Of course not! You all have gathered here to maintain your metabolisms after all! It would be surprising if you didn't smell food at this juncture! The question is whether it is properly cooked or not and ready for consumption! How annoying!"

Motya peers closely at the newcomer with their sensory cluster. "Greetings! I am Motya! I look forward to operating on you in the future! How exciting! At the moment we are enjoying the hospitiality of one of our members, Mio! We came here through a wormhole of some type, and I believe that we are waiting for our ship to be repaired so that we can leave. Or we are waiting to assist Mio against her enemies! I do not know! Nobody plans anything here! We have no procedure to identify and fight the Trespassers! How inefficent!" Motya grins manicially at Aesford. But then again they grin manicially at everyone so this is nothing special.

"So we have no set plan or procedure for fighting these things, according to you. That is somewhat troubling. I had optimistically assumed that whoever I met had some sort of logistical strategy for fighting the world eaters. How long have all of you been together as a group? Is there a hierarchy or some sort of other structure?"

"We tried, but then Chryssa punched Alan and everyone seems to have forgotten."

"As far as we know, most of the threats we've encountered were native fauna or Trespassers with the same weaknesses as the fauna. The logical strategy has been simply to discern their weaknesses and strike there. If someone developed a way of tracking and detecting them, we'd have more, but until someone does so, we're as in the dark as you are."
Mio explains as she serves the food.

Roast beef, udon noodles, dumplings and sashimi are some of the things Mio's serving tonight. They also all seem pretty well made, all things considered.

Eirika samples literally every kind of dumpling and sashimi. In order. Somehow.

Aesford sits at the table and eyes the Japanese-style platters set down, his olfactory senses twitching. He perspirates lightly but waits until someone else begins eating, hesitant to be both a newcomer and the first one to begin chowing down.
The blue haired chick begins picking apart the dishes but he decides to wait until someone else joins in as well.

"As far as you can tell, how do the Trespassers manifest physically?"

Ayane, Sora, and Chizuru all dig in.
"It varies. As I said, they tend to assume the forms of other creatures. As far as my knowledge goes, we have yet to meet a Trespasser in its purest form."

Little did they know that pure Trespassers were actually just really annoying, and they had to take over other creatures to become really terrifying. They had meh several such Trespassers already. One of them was named Bisnif...
