As for the Vertex.....I believe Miss Honda will have informed you what they are. They are monsters, who invade from time to time, attempting to kill the Shinju. You see, they hold up a barrier around our settlement, keeping them out, but occasionally, some break in. That is why the Heroes are here; normal humans cannot enter the Jukai and are frozen when the Jukai must exert itself, so they alone can fight them.

Our sensors are not sophisticated enough to detect any potential weaknesses until our Heroes make any contact with them, I'm afraid. Even with six hundred years of innovation and refinement, this is still a rather vague field.

As for funds, these will be delivered to you later. Our technology, advanced as it is, is not made for instant transport."

He turns to Sandra. He smiles.
"Of course. I will have some delivered to you when I can. You must be tired and scared after that, after all."
