Turn 5
Mio leaps at the beast, all her limbs pounding it into the sand in a flurry of amazing blows!
After her last strike lands, the beast is firmly embedded in the ground. It isn't done yet...

Until with a furious cry, Link jumps over Mio, perches on his sword, and drives the sword in its forehead straight into the center of the skull! The beast siezes up completely, not making a sound, and slowly turns a dark black color before poofing away in a cloud of black smoke.
Link slashes his sword twice, twirls it, and sheathes it all in one motion with practiced ease.
Battle End

The sword, meanwhile, dematerializes into several large, ornate rubies, shaped like hearts and ringed with gold. There is one for each member of the party.

((Elf and I did rolls, individually, and Mio kills it no matter what. Easiest way. :P))
