This is very likely to fail, for no reason other than the sheer amount of hodge-podge working here using possibly incompatible components. I mean, this amounts to basically putting together a car using parts made from moulds not meant to fit together.

Letting San take care of this mess, though I have no faith in it working all too well. Bar ENG, none of the crafters here are particularly good at crafting ))

After Dackly tries to petrify his forcefield, Alan, not seeing anything he could really do with his skills, leaves, regardless of success or failure.

He heads to GB's bar.  It's probably late enough now for it to be open.

And I think it is kinda silly if having multiple people work on something lowers it's success chance.  Especially considering none of it is directly interacting.

Surprisingly enough, Dackly does succeed in petrifying the shield.  It promptly starts to fall before Alan catches it and sets it on a table.
