Mio sits down by her and slowly puts her arm around her, hugging her closely. She sighs herself.
".....you did what you could, and nobody could expect any more of you than what you did. The mistakes of the past are done, and you cannot erase them by any means. You can only do your best to learn from it and make the future even better, make it up to those still here. Otherwise you'll be stuck looking back in the past at what is set in stone and blind to the future that you can still write.
You shouldn't view us as your chance at amending a mistake that cannot be amended. View us as a clean slate, one you can lead with the mistakes of the past in mind and the knowledge you possess. I have faith you'll succeed."
She gives Chryssa a tender, motherly smile. Eirika gets the sense this isn't the first time she has had to comfort someone.
"I am not going to force you to apologise to him, but I hope you can forgive him, in your own time, in your own way. I don't wish to see our team brought down by bad blood now, before the journey has even begun. I'm sure you can see the logic in that. And if you ever feel as if you'll snap, you can talk to me, and vent your feelings, and spare the trouble of violence. It's always better to talk.
You see, where I come from, myself and my companions, we live by five tenets; the tenets of the Hero Club. One of them is 'if you're troubled, talk to someone'. I want to uphold those, so if you're troubled, feel free to talk with me. I'll be happy to oblige."
