He would put on his new Nanocomm headset, rig up the motion detector in the hallway, and program it to send an alert to his headset if something moved before heading off to look for dackly.

"Which one do you trust less, him or pseudo-organic, highly corrosive, sentient, explosive, toxic crystals that were mysteriously outwardly removed by something that we know isn't the picture of innocence?"

"Isn't there some science way for him to check like your blood or spit or whatever?"

"If it's that important to you guys then why don't you offer me something? I'm not going to let something that looks inhuman poke around in my guts for free after all."

"Eh, I can wait.  Motey, check me for poison while ENG does his thing, we were ALL in a huge explosion of the stuff after all."

While Garnt searches through whatever may have been left behind by the Beast, he takes a swig from his Estus Flask. Healing up would probably be fairly important, just in case his suspicions were correct.

Ian seems to be contemplating the offer.
"How do I know they won't turn to grey goo when they touch me?"

One, they're pre programed to de-activate after roughly a minute. two, they're programmed to remove forign contaminants and repair organics. Three, i'll be in direct control of their motion via my new nanocomm headset, meaning that they're responding to my commands. Four, they alredy have a set program that dictates that they can't be reprogrammed into "grey goo" a second time.

Motya grins and reaches out to pat Ian's head with a manipulating limb. Humans could be so adorably stubborn sometimes.
