Dackly is becoming visibly frustrated as she grips her Essence Jar a bit tighter.

"It is so frightened, so full of negativity, if it wanted to fight us with all it's heart, I don't think we would be here.  It had the means to harness whatever power it was using and it held off for so long, until it was backed into a corner."

"Fighting it is what caused all of this.  Isn't it worth the effort to show it which of us mean no harm?"

"You can't pretend that everything that fights is willing to.  Haven't you ever known a time where someone was forced to fight?"

I dint under stand most of what they told me of them but I may still know some things of technology."

Mio looks Dackly straight in the eye, a calm expression on her face.
"Yes. I am. We all are. And we will be forced to fight until we get out of here and away from it.

And you're making as many assumptions as I am about this creature. How could you POSSIBLY know what it feels? Do you know? Can you read its mind? Do you know its motives? Do you even know what it is? For all we know, the other monsters we fought could've been the same, but they weren't. I'm not going to make the mistake of assuming this one, that DID just try to drag one of our group down with it, isn't hostile.

You saw it. It attempted to drag down Eirika with it, before I pushed her out of the way and attacked its tentacle. Until I have proof that it's not hostile, I'm going to defend myself if it attacks me. You disagree with me? Fine. But we've seen far more evidence of it being natively hostile than otherwise."

Eirika doesn't react to this, except to tighten one of her fists excessively.

If you want to negotiate with an inscrutable creature, the motives of which you cannot possibly know, after we have been attacked thrice by everything that seems to be native to this cave, then fine. But exercise some prudence and at least consider what I just said. Even if Bisnif provoked it, that might only have been the difference between us escaping and us being forced to fight it."
