Garnt has a look through whatever junk may be left over, and takes the black ooze vial if someone hasn't already. If someone has, he takes the pendant instead. Besides that, he attempts to attach the pauldron to his uncovered shoulder with the leather belt, presumably by tying it there or somesuch.
