As everyone cowers and prepares for trouble, a loud alarm goes off, "Warning: Reactor Control rods offline. Brinstar Reactor compromised. Venting in progress.... Warning: Main Vent failure. Personnel located in main reactor room. Initiating Secondary Vent... Warning: Containment wall breached. Initiating Emergency vent... Warning: Intruder detected on Phazon Platform..."

As the platform hits the floor of the room, the large dragon like creature is writhing in agonay as black mist evaporates from it's body, leaving skeletal remains in it's place. The mist forms into a singular cloud, just hanging about in place.

Garnt is still blocking. Just in case. Even if the monster evaporated, that didn't mean this couldn't be a bait-and-switch of some sort, or that the mist wasn't the true enemy.
Although, how he was going to fight mist with a sword was another question entirely.
