The man seems to be fiddling with something behind the lectern after he ensures Garnt is on the pad. The last thing Garnt sees of the world around him is a blue flash...
.....and he reappears just behind Mio, Eirika, Periw and Anna, with two unknown people. They seem to be in some sort of ruined temple, judging by his surroundings.
