Motya looks over at Chryssa's other companion. "Hi there! I'm Motya! Who are you?" they ask politely, already knowing Mio's name from her conversation with Chyrssa. It would be rude to admit that they overheard it, however.

"I am Mio. A pleasure to meet you."
A tiny humanoid in a kabuki mask and golden kimono with two sheathed swords at his waist is sitting on her shoulder, staring at Motya.

Motya carefully picks Chyrssa up with their larger arms and places her on their other side, away from Mio, before anybody can object. They then shuffle as close to Mio as they can, to regard the tiny humanoid on her shoulder with their sensory cluster. "It is a pleasure to meet you too! Tell me, what is that adorable creature on your shoulder? It is positively fascinating!"

The humanoid actually tries to push the cluster away.

Mio looks a little displeased at the forced removal and subsequent invasion of her personal space, but lets it go for now.
"That would be my Fairy, Masakado."

Given that the cluster is mounted in the middle of Motya's chest, the chances of the Fairy pushing it away are slim to none. Unless it is much, much, much stronger than it looks of course. "I see! And what is a fairy exactly? Where did you get it? How was it made? Would you object to me taking a blood or tissue sample?" The technician's manipulating arms start rooting around its labcoat for the tools to do just that, well before Mio could reply. "What do you use it for? Is it some kind of mascot? If so I have something similar back in Al-Rama. Ah! I should show you some pictures of them sometimes. #C47E is so cute!"

Mio steps away from him.
"I would rather you didn't. Sharp objects and Fairies do not tend to mesh well together.

It sounds hard to believe, considering his size, but he protects me."

Motya steps in time with Mio so that they stay the same distance apart. Which is to say: uncomfortably close. "Are you certain? I am quite skilled you know! It shall be over quite quickly!" The monster examines the Fairy quite closely for a few moments and then asks, "And how does it protect you? It appears to be far too small to be effective! Maybe you should have gone for a larger Fairy!"

Mio walks just a bit faster.
"Magic."

Motya keeps pace with Mio. You can't escape from their friendship that easily. "Magic? What kind of an answer is that? If you don't know, you could have said that in the first place! I understand completely! I wouldn't know how a microchip works even if was implanted into my brain!" The monster makes a noise like a chicken operating a disc grinder as it presumably laughs at its own joke. Assuming that the last part was supposed to be a joke.
