ENG would remember his bowl, and go pick it up. he would then offer it to the pikmin, and try to signal them to use it for water.
After which, he would begin to study the strange growth in more detail for 3 turns. If he can still see it in the dark, he would study it for another 7 afterwards.

He does the same with the second brazier, and after a moment, the door opens.

They stand in a large chamber. Halfway across the room a staircase starts, leading up to a large doorway in the wall. Along the staircase sit four columns, each with a blue flame on top set in a bowl.

The lanterns are more round than Link's, with glass plates around the flame. They clink gently while they move.
The first one approaches one of the flames, floating in front of it.
