Periw nods and begins scanning the area.

[SOLDIER First]

"But how do you know which time is which..?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

[SOLDIER First]

"There's dawn, dusk, noon and night, but how do you know when it's the other times?"

((....wasn't there a clock tower in Castle Town by Twilight Princess? Certainly, from what I know of the timeline, there's one by Ocarina of Time, and I doubt that technology regressed to the extent they lost a clock tower.))
"....you don't know what an hour is?"

[SOLDIER First]

((Castle Town changed quite a bit between the two games and, to my knowledge, there's no clock tower in TP!Castle Town. Nor are there clocks in Ordon Village, which is where Link was raised and, subsequently, where he would or would not have learned what a clock was or how to tell time from said clocks. Dusk is mentioned literally in the first minute of the game, which means the other general times of day I mentioned would also exist, but I don't remember any mentions of hours or numbered times of day.))

"Why? Should I..?"

"It's how we tell the time! Um..."
Sachi looks over to Mio for help.
"In her homeland and mine, time is told as such...."
Mio tries to explain the concept of a clock, time in minutes, seconds and hours and so forth in a way Link might understand.

[SOLDIER First]

He does.
"That sounds like it would be useful. Too bad I don't really care, like, at all
Now, we should.. get going."

Mio nods and starts going. As does Sachi, who's still smiling as she walks with them.

"It really is!"

[SOLDIER First]

Hopefully they don't continue walking, because they have to jump across the platforms to avoid falling in that darn sand.
Link and Eirika casually hop across the small gaps.

Mio helps Sachi across, carrying her across the platforms as she jumps after Eirika and Link.

[SOLDIER First]

Across the platforms, they see more quicksand and a large, closed gate. It doesn't look like the gate opens by hand.
Through another pointed fence they see a large chain coming out of the wall with a handle on it, resting on top of the sand. It's too far to reach by hand.

Mio frowns as she puts Sachi down, allowing her to stand.
"I'm guess we'll have to grab that chain somehow."

[SOLDIER First]

"I think I could, unless anyone else want to try."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"I don't think I can slip past the fence. I could certainly jump far enough, but the fence is troublesome, unless I can destroy it. You?"
Mio looks to Sachi, who shakes her head.
"N-no, I can't. I'm not as....um....good at jumping around as you guys."
