The girl, meanwhile, continues waving her rod wildly, looking around for some sort of way out.

[SOLDIER First]

Link charges at the beasts, the figure on his back struggling to hold on, and throws himself at the nearest one. His teeth take hold in its side, and he tears furiously at it until it throws him off, towards the girl.
Now surrounded, Link snarls at the beats, and the figure on his back suddenly starts to glow bright orange, centering on her hair. A strange circle emanates from the two, finding its way quickly to the beasts, and causes them to glow with a crackling orange light.
Suddenly, the circle dissipates, and Link hurtles at the beasts in turn; they each rear back and fall at his strike, and after he lands from the last hit the beasts hit the ground together. Their forms seem to pixelate and become strange, oscillating squares that congregate together and flow back into the portal, which changes color to a dull teal.
Link barks quietly, and the strange figure hops off of his back to become his shadow as he reverts to human form once again. He turns toward the girl.
"Are you alright?"

((Oh my god, you guys, let the GM railroad))

Mio pauses, staring at Link in surprise and a little awe.
".....I see our help wasn't needed."

The girl, when she sees all threats gone, calms down and simply leans on the pillar, breathing heavily and barely holding on to the rod she was using moments ago to defend herself. Her terrified expression is tempered with a grateful, if tired, smile at everyone for saving her.
".....t-thank god. I thought I really was.....t-thank you."

[SOLDIER First]

"Of course. I wouldn't leave someone who needed help."
Then he turns to the three others. "Sorry, uh... We usually do that, with the shadow beasts. It's much faster than the normal way, and they just yell each other back up anyway."

".......that must be troublesome. I suppose we'll have to discuss tactics, as Anna here seems experienced in dealing with similar beasts if her companions are to be believed and could be of use to dealing with them if they appear again.

See to it she's not wounded, please. I'll keep guard to make sure other opponents don't come after us."
Mio stands guard, looking out for any other enemies looking to ambush them.

The girl is still leaning on the pillar, breathing heavily and clutching her staff shakily.

[Twinwolf]

"Grimm look kind of similar, yeah. Never heard of any getting 'yelled' back up after being killed, though."

"G-Grimm? Is that what those are called?"
The girl chimes in.

[Twinwolf]

"Don't think these are the same thing, actually. Just saying they look kind of similar. Grimm have red eyes, and bony plates all over them."

"....I-I see. They looked like some sort of......S-Shadows.
.....w-where am I?"

[SOLDIER First]

The coast looks clear.
That strange portal still hovers above them.
"The Gerudo Desert..."

The girl looks less relieved and more unsure.
"W-what? What kind of place is that? I've never heard of it before....

Who are you?"

[SOLDIER First]

"You don't know about...
I'm Link. You aren't from here, are you?"

[Bluexdog]

Big Daddy Screeches as loud as possible ((His stun move))

The girl shakes her head.
"I-I've never heard of a Gerudo Desert."
