"Well... yes. I had to fight for my country. Is there something wrong with that?"

"No, no, I didn't mean to offend you... I had forgotten that was necessary sometimes in history."

She looks at him strangely. "What happened to make you react like that?"

[SOLDIER First]

"I'm not sure what you mean.."

[Sl4cker]

"Only someone with a good reason to react to something would do so in that fashion. Were unfit people forced into the military, or something like that?"

"Oh, wow. That sounds like quite a breakthrough.
Well, I might have.. a little... but whatever I would remember is splattered all over the Goodsprings Cemetery, so good luck getting all that grey matter back inside me."

Yamal chuckles at that. "Welllll, I mean it's not common where I'm from. But there ARE, like, cloned sheep and such, da? No supervillain stuff though. Not even really much in the way of growing replacement organs and such interesting things, da? It's all mostly research and conjecture. But it's there nonetheless."

[SOLDIER First]

Wilson nods at Yamal's explanation, satisfied for the moment.

"No, not that... Most everyone has to fight every day for their lives... Before the war, things were so much more peaceful. I can't really imagine something like that..."

[Sl4cker]

"Hasn't there been any attempt of making a... well, civilized civilization?"

[SOLDIER First]

"There's New Vegas, and lots of settlements around, but nobody is very... unified. There are too many raiders, bandit gangs, and mutant animals, I guess. They're probably worried about surviving over joining together."

[Sl4cker]

"I would think that 'surviving' and 'joining together' would make each other more likely to occur."
