Haruka orders one of her dolls to mop up the last of the mooks, then charges forward, lunging at the hawk monster with her lance twice. The doll previously engaged in healing throws a magical bolt at the hawk, seeming to be a sort of blue fireball, as the remaining doll takes aim and fires with its crossbow.

"Yeah, it was pretty wild, this Ape Guy called Gogo was terrorizing a little girl's cat in a tree, and we talked him down into saving the cat and apparently, he is trying to become a hero now, according to his impassioned realization that he can follow his dreams or something...  It was a lot cooler when it happened, but it still happened, the little girl was Katia, Ape guy was called Gogo, and our names are fairly irrelevant, considering our lack of affliations."

"Oh, that's perfect, we could help each other, you spin Gogo in a good light, and get your story to boot."

She hands over her pictures.

The hawk monster is held down by the ogre Rider and Yamal, screeching and scratching at the two as Asuka soars at it, borne aloft by Parov Stelar! With a forceful thrust, she slams her whipsword into the bullet hole left by Simuna's shot, leaving it open for-

Uh oh.

The hawk's wings flap suddenly, emitting a burst of sudden heat.

Asuka, Yamal and the ogre Rider are thrown off, their clothes smoldering as the hawk monster flies upwards, the air around it shimmering with heat. It dives directly for Simuna talons-first!

This may be time to finish the fight right here, right now!

"%$@#!" Yamal swears incoherently as she's thrown off of the hawk monster's wild ride. Engineering reports flash through her mind. Temperature rising. Emergency cooling activated. A brief burst of steam vents from her turbines, taking the heat away with it and shaking her out of her momentary daze.

Right. Hawk monster. A few black armored mooks.  More importantly, hawk monster. Gotta get there quick.

The shipgirl turns to intercept the beast, stumbling a bit on the first step. A groan, another Russian curse, but then she recovers her footing, watching her step well enough to throw herself between the talons and Simuna without tumbling. "Move!" she calls over her shoulder, gritting her teeth and preparing for impact in the minuscule time that remains. Stand slightly offset to the center of mass... get a good hold on them as they come in, rotate with the force and turn it towards a more favorable direction instead of trying to take it head on... Finally that judo training is making itself useful!

"....jeez. These go for so much, don't you know? Well, it seems you three have just saved my job! Thanks."
The journalist sighs.
"Look, guys. I owe you now. Is there anything I can do for you? I know a few guys."

[Shadestyle]

"I need information on these." Dackly takes out the belt she stole, holding it a certain distance away, her tone turns from helpful to serious in less than an instant.

Gozer looks nervous, but supposes this is indeed necessary.
