Idou merely looks at her strangely.
And then after a moment, he laughs. Softly at first, increasing in volume.

Wilson very briefly remembers the fact that he is a mailman, and isn't exactly sure how to feel about that in comparison to the current situation.

"Not everyone can just.. slap on a belt and be a hero, though.
...Actual people who did that nonwithstanding of course."

Chizuru is busy OMNOMNOMing.

Penelope turns to Idou, raising an eyebrow.

He wipes a tear as his laughter dies. "Sorry, sorry, it's just... history repeats itself, you know?
What you just said reminded me of someone I met a year and a bit ago, and I'm hoping to meet again.
And she was, and probably is, one of the best damn heroes I've ever known."

Idou drinks a hearty swig of what appears to be some sort of soda. "So! What now?"

[SOLDIER First]

"Not everyone can do what they have to. So many people just end up dead trying."

"A'ight. As soon as you guys are done, I'm going to give you directions to a place on the other side of the city. We have a few friends over there. They're Riders, like us but.....they're a little different. They're still good guys."
"My point stands. I don't want a pedestal to hold myself above everyone else."

"Oh? What for?"

"They said they may have some information about the suppliers of the belts."

[SOLDIER First]

"A pedestal is still better off than six feet under."

"Fair enough. Still."
