Aesford presses a button. Dozens of targets appear at 20, 50, 100, and 150 meter intervals in front of the shooters.

Wilson instantly brings up his Pip-Boy for a few seconds, staring at something hidden on the interface, and fires six shots at the same spot on the target. All hit.

Penelope does much the same thing at a target, only without a Pip-Boy. Hoo boy. Well, one was slightly off-target. Slightly, as in, still making the hole she's already made bigger.

Alanis does more science! Amazing findings about the universe and all of that. Her company disapproves. Less findings on quantum stuff and more testing cosmetic chemicals on the eyes of guinea pigs please, they say.

...There is no reason Alanis, a quantum physicist, should be doing health and safety testing.

She takes a sabbatical to do more research into, say, quantum foam.  And manipulating it.

"Guess I'll get in on the second round of it, here... let's see... if we're going for ballistics..."
Evridiki mutters to herself, looking through the gun selection, and comes up with a large shotgun.
"Reminds me of one of sec's combat shotguns! Yeah, this'll do."

Contagion fires as well, hitting a very similar pattern on the target to Penelope.

Aesford sprays about a hundred bullets down the range and hits two targets.

[SOLDIER First]

"Penelope, you.. Er... You're a very good shot.."

[Powder Miner]

"Hmmm. Hey, Aesford, get up some targets for me."

[Chevaleresse]

"It's always like that. It was hanging around me for months before I contracted. Seriously, kind of creepy to wake up with that thing staring at you. Nightmare fuel if I ever saw it." Victoria rubs her forehead. "What's done is done. Nothing we can do about it now."

A hint of a smile starts to return to return to Haruka's face. "I didn’t know you were a magical girl."
