Jet is lead to a tiltjet that hasn't taken off yet. Everyone else has already arrived at the Wendigo, those injured being taken to the Infirmary, and everyone else being taken to individual bedrooms to rest. A few days pass.

Everyone is gathered on the main deck, overlooking the destroyed city and the Forevermore that has build a massive nest nearby.

Anna does her best to avoid showing any particular emotion, but is failing to keep her transformation powers from screwing with her hair, which is alternating between angry red and sad blue.

"You made a contract, didn't you..."

((And unfortunately I now have to go to sleep))

"Isn't that a good thing? Now I can help protect people from those evil things. You sound so disappointed... I don't think that getting power to save people is being corrupted." This last had a bit of an indignant note to it.

Let her be idealistic for a while. She doesn't need to be depressed all at once. Victoria thought to herself.

"It depends... did you make the Contract because you wanted to, or because Kyubey made you?"

She elects to ignore the droid.

"When should we leave, by the way?"

"It was because I wanted to. I don't really know how he could force me, to be honest."

"Like, not leaving you alone and bringing it up at every second and trying to convince you even if you said no. He tried doing that to some other girls before.

But... if it was entirely your choice... if nothing else, then I guess I'm happy I'm not alone anymore. I hope you thought it through."

"I guess he was pretty insistent." At Victoria's second sentence, however, the girl looks down, her face reddening. "I knew I wanted to make a contract, b-but I didn't think my wish through very well."

"It's always like that. It was hanging around me for months before I contracted. Seriously, kind of creepy to wake up with that thing staring at you. Nightmare fuel if I ever saw it." Victoria rubs her forehead. "What's done is done. Nothing we can do about it now."

Alanis does research for a private company. She feels deep in her heart that this is doing absolutely nothing for the advancement of science nor the general welfare of human people, but hey, money!
By her mid 30's, Alanis has a lot of money and awards. Hooray.
