Alanis is at the head of her class, unsurprisingly. She is given a hefty sum to be able to do research.
Alanis has a girlfriend. A girlfriend with a drug connection, who can easily obtain whatever she needs.

Alanis seems to not be making use of that drug connection and instead researching.  Unless she actually needs pharmaceuticals for a medical reason, or unless the drug is actually magic.

"Phazon explodes into a toxic slime when the crystals are fractured, I could try, but I reccomend you try it in a throwaway sniper rifle first."

"We'll do a bunch more testing once I get my ship, we'll pick out a barren world and just ruin it, Heh."

"We could try using Liquid Phazon filled rounds, assuming I can get something to contain it. My natural petrification magic failed to do anything to the phazon previously, but now I am much stronger, and have some enhancements as well."

Simuna nods. "I see. Lahja is the only sniper rifle I have on me, however."

Gozer wiggles his flaming magic core-eye.

Dackly shoves fishbyte in the air with Move blockhead! and grabs the ice enchanted fish club.

"Is your world magic free?  It sure didn't sound like it."

[SOLDIER First]

"I-It is.. except in comic books... wow..."

[Sl4cker]

Simuna looks at Wilson. "You don't have magic? How does your revolver even fire?"

[SOLDIER First]

"A-A mixture of primer and gunpowder...?"

[Sl4cker]

"What are those?"

[Shadestyle]

"Hmm."

Dackly's Natural instincts overpower her, and she just can't help herself.

She hands over Fishbyte and 2 Healing Geopills, so he can have a little magic in his life.

"Tazer function on the handle, flip it to electrify the hitty bit, the ice enchant is pretty strong, but don't worry too much about it, most magic tries at least a little not to completely screw over the user."

"Made it as a non-lethal option, since ice and tazers don't HAVE to kill, necessarily, but it can stop most things in their tracks with one or the other. and don't worry, it is powered by an immortalized fish soul, and enchanted handle, so it shoulden't need refueling."

"Those are catch-all biological healing pills, take one if you need it."

"I'll probably be in my lab if you find yourself with something worth trading for more of my fantastic work."

Well, that's her good deed for today.

She pulls out her rifle. "I'm not entirely certain of the specifics, but... I send a very small amount of magic through the trigger, here, which travels up and activates an enchantment that pushes a bullet out of the gun at a high speed."

[SOLDIER First]

Wilson falls dead to the ground from the sheer intensity of her roast
Wilson produces a single 5.56mm round from nowhere and shows Simuna the blasty end, with the silver part that the hammer strikes.
"Ballistic guns all have hammer in them that's pushed back in some form when you reload. With revolvers you usually need to pull them back manually. When the gun fires, the hammer strikes the end of the gun and triggers the primer, which is a mixture of chemicals that react to the impact and ignite. The ignition sets the gunpowder on fire and that explodes, propelling the bullet."
