Wilson waves back, distracting him and causing him to accidentally shoot a neat plasma hole in Simuna's hat.

Victoria takes flight and heads into the forest with her team. In the distance she spots a convoy of red trucks moving down the road, flanked by smaller vehicles.
Wilson is allowed into the shooting range and to carry his own gun. There are dozens of spots on the range separated by a barrier, and all sorts of targets that are constantly being hit, moving, and being replaced or renewed. Off to the side are private rooms that charge an additional, hourly rate. Wilson also sees that there are guard towers flanking the shooters off to the side, encased in protective metal and at a difficult angle to hit from where the shooters were standing. It's very loud.
Aesford stumbles up to Penelope and crew. "Penelope!...I...I didn't know."

[SOLDIER First]

"It is.
Oh, hello."
Nah, they don't. Shopping centers and restaurants mesh little.

Penelope looks over at Aesford.
"Hm? Is everything alright?"

Victoria waits for the others to go or indicate that she should; she'd never had to ambush Witches before, and thus had no experience with ambushing, after all.

"What happened to you in there?! I mean, I...I was just...Charlie was starting this new experimental treatment for colon cancer and Mikey wanted to switch majors even though I told him that there was no money in Philosophy and..."
Victoria watches the other people who stay behind cover, watching the trucks draw closer. "Looks like they have something special...alright, go, but don't damage the trucks, they've got something important! Aim for the drivers and the guards!"

Evridiki ends up following Aesford on over.
"It is entirely fucked up that they don't warn you what's in those machines, though... I haven't actually heard any of the specifics."

With the others, Victoria jets out of the trees, aiming for anyone on foot and the drivers of whatever vehicles were closest.

"I played around with a game, Aesford. It seemed real to you, but that's all it was. A game. I'm sorry. They should've warned us about it.

A very well-designed game, I'll give you that. I was even going to go figure out if there were glitches in the simulation."

"J-just a game? I spent years in that motherfucker! I had a whole life!"
The aerial squad swoops in and intercepts the Reds, gunning them down before they realize what is going on. Scores of them are killed, but the survivors are now equipped with vehicle-based weaponry previously unseen in the match. Laser fire is shot at Victoria and her team at a blistering pace, knocking several of them out of the sky.
